Weve had a lot of discussion about the pitch on here but...

Will it be able to stand up to 25,000 blades on a relatively warm middle of the week night?

To be honest mate , I hope we all keep off the pitch , so we can soak up the atmosphere .

Sorry to be a bore , but I would love to see the team do a lap of honour , not the debacle under Madkins.

All and sundry deserve it .

Will it stand up to the tennis balls as well?

Let's keep the pitch invasion for after the Chestfield match, so I can get me and the young un on

I don't understand why anybody with an ounce of sense would go on the pitch and by doing so risk a points deducion for United for being unable to control it's fans?
It would be utter madness in my opinion.
I just don't get why people can't celebrate in the stands and keep off the grass. Why is it better to be on the pitch?

And given the last 6 fucking years, anyone else gets a free pass from me due to mitigating circumstances!

Its half term next week ... gerrim there

It went alright at Leicester :)

Pitch invasion makes the occasion imo ... Peterborough at the Lane and Darlo away 1982, Swansea home '89, Leicester Filbert Street 90, Coventry in the cup 1998, Forest at home in 90 and 14, Mansfield away 89, plus plenty of others. In comparison how many talk of the '06 promotion 'party' v Palace when a nice round of applause and Derek singing 'My Way' was the order of the day. Nowt wrong with a spontaneous pitch invasion, rounds it off perfectly as far as i'm concerned and talked about for years after.

Have a pitch invasion if you want...............but don't come on here complaining that you have been banned for next season and beyond!

Just hope no one sees fit to dock us 10 points if we do invade the pitch.

Only for the self-entitled numpties who run on. They don't give a fuck about ruining the spectacle for the majority of old, young, male and female fans who also want to salute their team from their seats without seeing dozens of teenagers jumping all over the players and pretending to be the stars of the show. As a result the players disappear from sight and quite literally get lost in the crowd.

Leave the pitch to those who have excelled on it. Let everyone in the ground have the chance to salute them from the stands. Then we're all involved, not just the self-selecting few.

Tuck yer Flask and Rug under your seat ... no one will nick em ... and get yersen on the pitch

Pity there's no 'yawn' or 'boring' buttons. You trying to tell me the pitch invasion on 5-5-90 didn't add to the occasion? or 15-5-82?

The reason they made the occassion was, as you say they were spontaneous. Nowadays with the Internet everything is pre-planned and antiseptically clean. No off the cuff responses.

Look at Pesch's reaction after his goal against Forest. Sure he didn't prepare his OMG moment before the game. It just happened and we all still talk about it today.

Similar to all the pre-planning of fancy dress outfits for the MKD match. How unfunny will it be if everyone turns up in Wombles outfits? Won't we all be surprised?

Just need to let things happen naturally. Because that's exactly how a football match itself develops.

What was that I said about self-entitled numpties who don't give a fuck about anyone else?...
