Good win, smashing football.
But they only had 10 men, which allowed us more space.
I dare say we will get a better idea after playing Brentford away.
That will be a tough game.

A good three points last night but like you say all it shows is that we are capable of playing football. The true test now is how we are going forward from this game into the next game and so on and so forth.

The only way we are going to get out of this division is through consistently good performances until the final game of the season at the end of the day.

With a few big games coming up eg the likes of Brentford, Preston, MK Dons, Wolves in the couple of months I'm hoping we can see then how this season is looking for us.

I'm hoping for consistently good home performances first and foremost, let's bring the feel good factor and party atmosphere back to BDTBL. For those in voluntary excile I hope to see you back at Bramall Lane some time in the very near future backing the team!

UP THE BLADES!

Didn't hear the usual moans when county scored. Instead fans started singing for the team. Much much better performance

It's a work in progress and I've no doubt after a few games the side may look a bit different, with people who Weir thought could do the job being replaced by others who fit the system better.

Good base from which to build and looking at last night we were playing pretty well and giving them very little of the ball before they went down to 10 men. Bigger tests to come with hopefully things continuing to improve.

We have had more than one miserable performance against 10 men in the last few years.

At least knowing we can outplay 10 men, gives me hope we can beat 11 men

It can be harder against ten, as we all know. This is a bit of a red herring, in my view. We were outplaying eleven just as comprehensively.

Agree with Pinchy. We destroyed them in the short amount of time that we had leading up to the red.

We were completely dominant before the sending off, and the game didn't really change in character afterwards.

Indeed and I didn't hear any moans and groans either when passes went astray or moves broke down - quite the opposite in fact. The usually moaning and groaning was replaced by appreciative applause which made for a far more enjoyable experience and more than likely encouraged the players as well. Just need to work on putting chances away now and I think we'll be al-reight..

The 3 unwise monkeys behind me managed a 'get up Brandy you faggot' and a 'get it forward for fuck sake' and a few sarcastic ,'Porters actually won one' and 'Doyle found a teammate' but apart from that even they were pretty quiet.

The thing that pleased me most was the number of chances created.
We can work on the finishing, but what we lacked so much last season is creating more than one or two shots at goal all game. We were that negative we travelled backwards.
Really encouraged by last nights performance.
Suited the players so much better.
Every player looked comfortable and happy in what they were doing and the guys that came on slotted in nicely too.
OK Porter should have buried two but Brandy and Coady should have scored as well.
Carry ok like that we will be there or thereabouts.

Only note of caution is if we come up against a physical side.
They will no doubt try to bully us off the ball (like big Enoch on Harry)
However, if we pass and move - showing for the link play - like we did last night, we should have enough of the ball to dictate the play.

Really pleased with the start.
Looking forward to changing my avar and tag again soon.
