The Clubs after Wilder

Oh dear. More Bladey bollocks about he's a fucking Blade and passion. As though other managers and clubs don't have passion? Embarrassing, parochial claptrap.

As for the thought that links with Bolton, Blackburn, Charlton are some sort of recommendation...hate to mention it, but they also chose the managers who have failed them so badly that they are looking for replacements!

The curious logic of the Bladey Blade knows no bounds...

I think the more relevant facts are that in his most recent job he actually won the fourth division title by a clear 13 points with a club that for much of the time was teetering on the brink of extinction. By any objective standard that is a good achievement.

To be honest, if Wilder was still at Northampton and Adkins was still here I would not rate our chances against them in next season's league fixtures.

Any concerns should be put at ease by this:

Blackburn, Forest (both Championship...), Charlton and Bolton. All big clubs and all of which wanted our new gaffer according to Alan Nixon, and he DEFINITELY knows his stuff about Bolton, Blackburn and Forest. Charlton we all know about through the clubs.

I can understand the concerns about him needing a bit of time, him never managing in League One... But apart from that I'm not sure why there should be any.

He's a blade, he understands the passion, the crowd, the attitude the players need to have. He knows we appreciate honesty. He knows that if he gets his team attacking and giving 100% the crowd will give it the team back. As a manager you're only as good as your last season, in which he pissed the league with a side which were close to extinction. That's impressive by any standards. He gets his teams playing good attacking football and builds a strong spine for the team to play around (remember what a spine is?).

No more players holding us to ransom, no more silly wages on very average league one players. Time for a young hungry squad with a splash of experience and know how. Time to stand up and be counted. Time for us to have a team to be proud of and one that we can relate to.

The budget WILL be the biggest in the league even if it's been shortened, there are a lot of wages going this summer and a bit to play with. Only MK Dons and Charlton will come close and Charlton are a joke club.

One thing is for sure we won't lose 4-0 first game this season, and that's a starting point :)

I didn't want to see Adkins lose his job and I'm not a clapper by any stretch but the more I hear from and about Wilder the more I'm excited for next season.

Not sure about the budget thing Danny. I got the impression during the press conference that KM was hinting that CW will have to build round the youngsters again. Moving on some of the dross should give us room to manoeuvre on wages though.

I don't care if he's a Blade or not. I want us to get promoted. If he gets us that then he will become a manager rare in the last few years, one that has succeeded. Please Mr Wilder, please succeed......that's all I ask.
