Same old, same old.

Rinse and repeat.

well you have no answer to it

who did he bring in January when the need was there and the points were still available

the door was open and he never ventures outside to find someone
season wasted

I can post the lñink again where he admits he had backing

but its pointless as you dont believe in what he said, thats Adkins , not me

You've had numerous answers to all your questions. Stupid and otherwise.

This above one being particularly stupid.

Wasn't it a link to an article in which Adkins admits that money was available?

You're right Pete, that's a schoolboy error, I'd scrubbed the stupid last minute goal at the lane from my mind.

As for the rest, instead of dismissing what i wrote in a cheap two line insult.

Why don't you point out what part of it is wrong?

Longest unbeaten run for seasons, most clean sheets in a row, two cup semi finals and "progress" in the league no matter how you try to dismiss it. It was forward progress.

Not good enough for you and I understand that, how's your impatience working out this season?

No it was a link to a website claiming our squad was worth £8.5 million and that we'd spent more money than anyone else in the league because of this. And Connor Sammon was in the top 3.

Oh. Well I can't defend that.

I loved the cup runs and improving our league form even if it wasn't "saving us from certain relegation" as some try to make out.

Our points per game ratio was worse in season two than season one.

Our 'style' of football was eye wateringly bad and we lost to some awful teams. We also wasted time in the first half of games we were winning 1-0 against poor poor team.

We stumbled into the play offs finishing closer to the bottom 4 in points than the top 2 and we were humbled by Swindon, starting the 2nd leg with no centre backs.

All this on the back of being given complete free reign to sign whoever he liked and splashing out more money on a right back then Adkins has been able to spend for an entire season.

It's unquestionable that he left a large, unbalanced and expensive squad behind.

So for all those reasons I think he deserves criticism.

I don't believe the cup runs or his second name should allow him to escape criticism.

And the mess he quite clearly left behind for whoever got to take over from him.

with pleasure

please note this article says Adkins said
not our reporter thinks

I dont know what your definition of clarity is , but what Adkins says is the money was on the table
now its not the money that stopped the deal but Fulhams intransigence on not letting him go

we set our sights too high maybe , so it wont have been an insignificant sum

You forgot the other link to the other website you no longer like to talk about.

Also you never responded when I asked if you remembered us "bidding" for Jonny Russell? Money was on the table then too.

Also, that link doesn't say why the deal fell through. It also says that other bids were made but the asking price was the reason it didn't go through. For a league 2 player.

amazing how you dont think he can escape criticism taking us to 7th from being bottom, to 2 cup semis and getting us to a play off
we played exceptionally well in some games at bristol city preston and beating swindon at home

but you will defend the man whos failed pathetically in taking a squad that was in the play offs , out of it ,
and you cant give one game where we matched our display at Bristol city

but your premise is he wasnt supported , and given no backing which is wholly rubbished by Adkins own words

he had all pre season , something else you argued was wrong , but Carvahal got less time at wednesday than Adkins had and he forced a play off spot

Which really pours more scorn on Adkins shabby effort

We weren't bottom when he arrived.
Ive answered all your dumb, BBC website related points previously.

No it isn't. As I've pointed out.
I'm not surprised you can't understand the point I made, it's not written in crayon after all.

What is it then?

No it isn't, was in response to Adkins apparently "rubbishing" the suggestion he hadn't been backed.

He simply says "there was money on the table".

The same article says we failed to land a league 2 player because of his asking price.

your problem is its there in news print and you still cant accept it

the fact is we were 5th last year, his remit was to move us on , make us more competitive

hes failed , end of

look at a league table argue with that

what price were they asking

might have been too much , have you figures, or are you happy spouting about myths

and you still havent told me one of adkins displays this season that matched our display at bristol city

seeing as I dont go as you say enlighten me

My problem is your inability to follow simple logic and pretending we were the leagues top spenders.

How do you know what his remit was?

There's money on my table in the kitchen. Only in BTL world can you conclude that the manager has been backed sufficiently.

UTB

just tell me one Adkins display where weve come close to the 3=1 at bristol or the home win in the league over Swindon

In which game did Adkins convince you he had got it right

The 3-1 at home to Bradford?

Although I've no idea what you think this proves.

grow up
he says
“The crux of it is that there was money put on the table. People will say that we set our sights too high. But, do you know what? I don’t think that’s a bad thing because we want to improve the group.”

set our sights high doesnt mean a 50k offer does it

so thats the future, 1 game
what was second out of interest

Adkins hasn't got it right yet. Nobody is suggesting so.

If you're talking about entertainment, then the less said about last season the better. Only a few seasons in my life have bored me quite so much, that one ending ironically at Swindon, with the fans almost unanimously calling for his head at one point.

I'll give him the cup run, but in the end they are a sideshow.

UTB

More irony, given that when I engage with you I seriously feel like I'm addressing a small child.

UTB

try and engage your brain
what were we going in for burn with 500 quid a week
the utter dumbness of some of our fans is astounding

they get a ridiculous idea in their head about money being withheld and still wont let it sink in when the man himself admits it was there

It really isn't necessary to engage the brain when talking to you.

BTL writes "the utter dumbness of some of our fans is astounding"...FFS! :D

I can't give you the title of the forum idiot, someone already owns it. But you're surely the bluntest tool in the box. ^Pure comedy Gold.
