The chasing pack are making it easy for us

They seriously are. Fleetwood and Scunthorpe both dropped points again.

Bolton now 9pts behind in 2nd.

On that, what happened at Bolton? Everyone after said it was 2-2 even RS said they were pegged back late on!?
Don't know how you can think that the chasing pack are making it easy on us, both Fleetwood and now Bolton have just been on amazing victorious runs, just how complacent can some Blades get??

Considering we're 9 above 2nd and 10 above 3rd (which we weren't 2,3,4,5,6 games ago) suggests that we are getting more points than them

We are almost certain now of top two that was a poor result for Fleetwood, they would have expected to have won that one.

The title is a different matter though Bolton are on one of those runs, we can't afford any daft slips ups at the likes of Oldham and Port Vale.
AFC Wimbledon have done us a lot of favours this season.

Been saying it for weeks, we don't have anything to worry about from the chasing pack.

Two more wins will seal 2nd spot and even then I can see 3rd place not even getting 80 points.

Another thing - Millwall can be completely ruled out now. They're no sort of threat to us. Even if they won their games in hand and beat us at BL they still couldn't finish above us.

Only Fleetwood and Bolton could possibly finish above us now. And with Fleetwood 10 points behind with no games in hand, promotion at least looks assured. Realistically I think the worst we could do now is finish 2nd to Bolton. And that is also very unlikely.
Can't Millwall still get 89 points? o_O

its not the chasing pack making it easy for us

our relentless run is piling the pressure on them

they have to win every game
weve got some wiggle room

Millwall drawing with Bury best result for me
Bury playing well just now , got to play one or 2 of the contenders
a good derby win over bolton would be nice
I can't really see how they are making it easy. In the last 5 games

Bolton have 11 points
Fleetwood have 10 points
Bradford have 11 points

Yes Scunthorpe have collapsed with just 3 points and can't really catch us anymore but it's our 13 points over the same 5 games that is making the league table look so positive.

Difficult one for Bolton midweek at Oxford, very fortunate today dodgy pen and good goal disallowed at death for O,Toole, no threat.

How many we got in the last 5 games?

I was just looking at the last 10 games as well and we've accumulated more points than anybody else in those games as well.

In other words, our lead has got bigger over that time and it stands to reason that a 10 point gap is going to be harder to close in 8 games than an 8 point lead in 13 games, which is what's happened.

I'd rather believe that it's us making it harder for the teams below us, but the real surprise to me is that we haven't yet seen any sign of a United-style cock up and we're running out of games :-)

Yeah that's true. However, if they are serious about promotion, they should be winning the games at this stage of the season. Not drawing 0-0 at home to Wimbledon.

A few weeks ago, we had a blip, forgot when it was but we went about 3 games without a win and somehow increased the lead.

Think it was start of Feb

Spot on Trig . And if you read the forums of all those close to us they give a similar summation too . They see us and first place gone . We are simply too far ahead to be caught because we don't drop points .

Scunny though, eh?

Ahead of us when they bring in Craig Davies & Ivan Toney. We sign Hansen, Carruthers, O'Shea.

They're now 14 points behind.

Collapse of biblical proportions.

Hmm not easy when you look at Bolton's mini-revival and Fleetwood's form. The latter I think might start to wobble though in the final run-in - as it dawns on them they are at the top they panic.

As for Bolton yesterday - Im sure Gary Sinclair reported they had drawn 2-2 - just as we were leaving the ground. He needs to be careful giving out false information - think/check before he speaks down the mic.

He did. And Jonathan Buchan said they were "pegged back late on". Idiots the lot of em.
They did score but was disallowed

Apparently some score alert apps sent out 2-2 so it was a widely reported misconception.
