I think we can safely file it away with 'We're never going to do this again' - Promotion Party May 2006 (although that one may be true) and 'Europe in 5 years' around the same time.

Play boring hoof ball or players out of position. Make excuses after every match why we played so bad making sure u blame everyone else but urself. Then any good player you have make sure you sell them for the cheapest price you can. Then tell the fans nothing about the club and what a right mess its in. Towards the end of the season give the fans abit of optimism so they buy the season ticket just for everything that was said to be a load of bollox. THE END

It means going down quietly and meekly whilst blaming anything and everything for our predicament and never fronting up and saying "I made a mistake"

the blades way -

Sell your best young players
replace with average championship players on lower wages
loan out a striker to score 14 goals for another team
pay over the odds for a premiership reseve striker
have half a team full of loan player who don't care about the club as they wont be there next season.
not put another penny into the club
build an hotel
buy foreign clubs that produce nothing for the blades

It's no different to what it has always been. A few good years followed by a a fair few middling to poor years. The die hards keep going the rest go to Meadowhall until it picks up again or head to S6 if the pigs are playing in a higher league.

It will never change. Or if it does it will be more seasons in lower leagues than time spent in the CCC or premiership. I don't mind either way as long as the football gets better and the atmosphere (even with lower crowds) comes back.

Lose 7 straight away from home? Losing to teams struggling to stay in the division? Failing to score again the leakest defence in the Championship?! Sell the family silver and bring in rough brass??
