The club makes a loss every year, so I’m not sure how it’s worthwhile to turn down additional sponsorship income?!?

I'm certain other parties would be put off in future by us having an association with fraudulent companies. (Look at Forest and Football index).

I just think there's a line, which is drawn quite a bit before we start saying everything's for sale. If all that matters is additional income then why have why turned down all offers before now? And why haven't we sold naming rights for the ground? Etc etc.

This just stinks of someone tasked with sourcing sponsorship being on the brink of losing their job phoning back the last person they said no to, and offering them a discount.

Fortunately if you haven't bought one yet you can choose to have a sponsorless one, that's something I suppose.

We may have laughed at that lot but at least Chupa Chups is a universally known brand that everyone has heard of and has probably consumed at least once in their lives, whereas Maneki I'd never even heard of before today.
