All the saves Mel Rees made in the game against Liverpool at Home. I don't think I've ever witnessed a finer performance. Its as if he knew he didn't have much time left in this world. Sadly missed, Blades legend even after only 8 appearances.
You clearly didn't see his performance at Everton, Addy...…..the finest goalkeeping performance I have ever seen...…..EVER...…...including non SUFC keepers.

Mel Rees...…..never forgotten.

Missed the Rees v Liverpool as was on a Uni field trip. Mate who went to the match said it was the finest keeping performance he had seen. I reckon a few weeks later at Goodison Park he had another great game (if I have got it right).
I always thought Kelly and Tracey we top notch keepers. Tracey was never the same after the shoulder injury.
How many on here thought that buying the keeper who was in goal for WBA against Woking was a great idea, apart from Harry B?
I think we need a matrix to plot was better at each discipline to enable a 'he was better' judgement.
Kenny wasn't as good as the three above.
Henderson needs to do the job in the Prem to enable a good comparison. He is good it has to be said.

I am glad that I got the Everton bit correct. It was indeed a fine performance. I think there was one save in front of the away end that was world class.

IMS the Woody volley from TC's corner went it, sure it was against Soton Woody had his arm up before ball hit net he knew where it was going the Soton GK escapes me (memory). Looking back it may have been Eric Steele but he never smelled it let alone saw it.

Best save at lane that sticks in the mind as a kid Jim Brown v Man City I think it was from Denis Tueart .... best performance , acknowledged at time at end of the match by best goalie in the world at the time Neville Southall ... the late and great Mel Rees v Everton ... we've been blessed with keepers

In what order would you put Hendo , Kenny ,Tracey, Kelly and Rees ??
Kelly/Rees or vice versa Tracey. Hendo will improve. Paddy. Nowhere near, good shot stopper but for a big un should have been stronger in his area. Could have knocked everybody out of the way and been fearsome
