Apart from Boltons manager and Chairman, that is

Awaydays.

One particular highlight; a mate coming out of an off licence after Peterborough swigging from a bottle of Champagne proclaiming "Only gone and won the league haven't we!"

And realising he was spot on.

Having a manager you can trust 100% is really quite surreal.

As is having a team that plays quality football and has a perfect mentality. That always seemed impossible.

This, absolutely this.

Knowing I'm going to be entertained and receive value for money.

When we concede it doesn't phase me anymore because I know we'll get back into the match and create chances. Also even if we don't win then it doesn't bother me so much because at least we've performed and given it a go.

This sums up perfectly how I'm feeling at the moment too. What a time to be a Blade.

Going to games and feeling involved and bothered again instead of last season when I struggled to care less what was happening in front of me. Shocking how bad I'd got last year. Kept coming but really at times had no idea why really.

Exactly. Everything I used to enjoy about matchdays had become a pale imitation, I was just going through the motions. Our identity had whittled away down to nothing and I thought it would last a very long time.

Wilder instantly changed that and the transformation has been phenomenal. I don't I've ever felt more involved with the club than right now.

Watching a great team of committed players wanting to win the ball, pass it quickly and smartly, wanting to take on and challenge the opposition, wanting to score and wanting to win. And then wanting to score another goal.

Oh, yes, and Billy Sharp.

Everything is perfect. It's a shame this season has to come to an end. I hope the players get what they deserve and lift the trophy in front of 31,000 in a months time.

The best bits about being a Blade at the moment are:-

just being a Blade at the moment!

Those fleeting moments of joy in the past which have broken long periods of despair have taught the older members of our community how to really enjoy and savour the lead-in and fulfilment of moments like this.

As the full version of the quote in my signature goes:-

Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
But today is a gift
That's why they call it the present

The Magic Is Back

Enjoy

I've just read Gage's latest article about the champagne being on ice and it got me thinking. We've had very little to cheer about in recent years, and for the large part - our stay in league has been shite. But at the moment, we've got it good and I'd like to take a minute to appreciate the good bits, possible promotion or champions elect aside, what are your current best bits about being a Blade. Let's enjoy them whilst things are a bit better for once! Christ knows we deserve a bit of positivity, the most loyal fans in the football league.

I'll start...

1. Our manager is one of us.

2. It's nice to go into a match day expecting to be entertained and knowing you're likely to win.

Any more?

For me, it's feeling Blades fans' solidarity and unity again. Over the past four seasons I have seen some ugly infighting amongst Blades - really ugly and depressing. Wilder has healed all that. He's a Messiah.
