I do worry a little bit for Wilder's safety.
I don't think he said anything wrong, but their reaction has been quite fierce and we know from recent seasons their fan-base contains enough idiots.
He definitely didn’t say anything wrong. It wasn’t a rant, he didn’t insult them, didnt say anything that should elicit any sort of anger. The fans who got upset at that need to take a long look at themselves.

I don't think they're smart enough to give Wilder a problem.

As I believe the youth of today are want to ask, in what Wilder said:

"Where's the lie?"

That's what has ticked them off this time - yeah he's needled them, but he's done it by telling some home truths...

Actually very fair and complimentary at times
It was complimentary at times and he actually said at some point in the future Wednesday will be doing this to United because that's how the pendulum swings in Sheffield football

But let's face it, he could do a 5 hour monologue on how wonderful Sheffield Wednesday are, but make one mildly critical comment in the middle and they'll jump all over that one comment with massed online anger and faux outrage

No it fucking well is NOT! He’s been in very sporadically mostly with Missis and mother in afternoon. Came in with a couple of mates and was loud and leery on Guinness one evening but as I virtually live in the place he ain’t a regular. Seen more of Nigel Pearson in there recently who is a very nice guy. It’s bad enough with my piggy mates in there already without you attracting more of em saying it’s his boozer of choice. Not looking forward to being visited by Mark the Pitsmoor Robber now!

Last time I saw Wilder in a boozer a few weeks ago he’d got quite the entourage. I’m pretty sure he’d be fine
