The amount of money wasted on our squad is nothing short of a scandal.

They just are not good enough & cannot handle the pressure at home.
Look at the teams resources that have just beaten us over the last 2 games. scandalous.

We need to stop fucking about & get some quality in NOW before its too late.
 
The shopping list is still not that long.

One defender, one midfielder and one striker.
 
He must know by now he needs new players please no more defending them now get some shipped out and quality players brought in

The so called average , poor teams , appear to want it more , and are fitter , organised , pacey athletes , and not doubt on lesser saleries .Usually level headed , but the players we have got , may well be in some sort of comfort zone .

Confidence is becoming shot , players know that they will be surplus to stock , will be moved on , when contracts are up. They will not give all for the shirt.

This season can only be a transition period for Adkins .

Not being alarmist , but lose at Bradford , and i can see this season being mid table or even a relegation fight , If Adkins does not get the backing from the board . He now knows , and the board know , you have to pay the going rate for quality , (even in this league.) , i can see him considering his future, if they do not back him.

The loan players we bring in , will not cure the route cause problem , it will be a sticking plaster. Feel sorry for Adkins because it seems he has been sold a pup , and certain players do need to look in the mirror, as they are letting the club down , or are just not good enough or both.

No positive Saturday or tonight , just a big realisation, perhaps for all of us.

First mistake for Adkins and that it leaves him wide open for criticism from fans, is that when he arrived it was obvious what the problems were and he hasn't done anything about it.

Not looking forward to Bradford. Saying that, we will probably win and us fans will be saying "right we need to kick on from here". Sounds a bit like the same old story over again.

And another thing all apart from one or two players know if they do win promotion they will not be good enough to make the step up, much easier to stand still in this league than bust a gut to put yourself out of a job.
 
I continue to be alarmed by the lack of urgency to replace our player of the season from last season. The one we were told we had no choice but to sell, but not to worry because we won a couple of games with a young promising striker playing in that position and that we would reinvest the money.

Problem is it is a fact the FAir Play rules have caught us out! These rules were design to stop 'big' clubs with better resources than 'small' clubs spending their way to the top.
Clough's sqanddering on a big average injury prone squad is his ball and chain legacy. There are two options, spend on major finishing contracts or build gradually over the next few seasons.

Bristol, Brentford, Bournmouth are all clubs that have spent considerable amounts to get out of this league the fair play rules did not stop them because at this level owners can pump in money should they so wish, unfortunately our owners seem to be unwilling or unable to do little more than drip feed money into the team at best and then only after selling our best player at the start of each season. I am also expecting us to build gradually as I don't see this board of directors have the drive or ability to take the club forward instead they are hoping the best manager in the division can somehow work a miracle and drag us up on a shoestring. Game changing my arse, same owd, same owd.

The three you mentioned built gradually and within their means until their benefactors turned up and started pumping money in. Adkins has inherited a 42 man squad that is a millstone around the clubs neck due to Clough's spending on cheap and cheerful. That squad needs sorting as well as just bringing more in.
Can't blame anyone feeling a bit (lot) negative this morning but Adkins appointment shows the board have ambition!
 
I think we need 3 players CB (to replace Collins), CM (to replace Baxter) and a LB (on loan until Harris gets back).

Howard has been doing alright and we have proved that we can scored (with Che and Done coming back the goal scoring power goes up).
 
we need a powerful and passionate box to box midfielder who can pass tackle and shoot.. moncur or mellis would do nicely thankyou.
