Thought he did well last night lundstrum and that tackle on their player in 1st half was an absolute banger more of a steel city derby tackle than a preseason friendly tackle, but let himself and the club down abit by not going up and acknowledging the kid and making sure he was ok wile he was down and being treated in my opinion.

There were a few crunchers going in tonight but to be fair to all involved none of the players got too excited about it, and just got on with the job in hand.

Kind of agree about Lunny though; I thought he should have at least give the lad a pat when he was going off on the stretcher. Hopefully he had a word after the game.

Cuntish behaviour, Ainsworthesque in fact. He's not very good anyway.

We need someone to do the tough stuff in the middle of the park, if you think that Lee Evans, or Duffy or Coutts are going to do it, think again. Lads went in tonight with 50/50, and someone got hurt, this is what happens in (competitive) sport

Lundstram went in hard with a 50-50 tackle. Thought he was very good last night. Lee Evans frustrates the absolute life of me, cannot wait for Coutts to come back.

...unless we're talking Wednesday...

Sheffield Wednesday's friendly vs Mansfield descended into chaos as the game ended with an ugly 22-man brawl.

Mansfield's Krystian Pearce was shown a red card late on, while Wednesday star Fernando Forrestieri reportedly aimed a punch at Calum Butcher.

Mansfield were furious with Forestieri for a late challenge on Hayden White.

With Butcher and Krystian Pearce steaming in on the Italian to spark wild scenes.

Forestieri is a whining, cheating little cunt.

Deffo contender for Viz's 'Up The Arse Corner' there.

I'm assuming since it's Wednesday, the player didn't pay for the £140 BendU-OR tech hyper shirt that's full length.

The challenge wasn't even all that. Just two players bouncing off each other. I watched via the IntaTV Facebook page. Nothing in it. 999 times out a 1000 both players would have walked away completely unscathed.

Not even close to. If it was any other player you'd be praising the challenge.

It's not the tackle I have a problem with, it's the lack of acknowledgement after, like the OP referred to. It's poor form.

Did you actually watch the game ? Evans had 10 times more the touches that Lundstram had ,because he actualy gets in position and looks for the ball. I thought Lundstram was awful on and off the ball.

Do you know if he went to see him after the game? Easy to criticise.

Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, but the decent thing to do would've been to go over to him at the time. I wouldn't be pleased if it was the other way around.

I went and thought Lundstram played well, I personally thought Evans looked lost at times and gave the ball away a few times.

Appreciate we all see the games differently, personally I prefer Lundstram over Evans, but do think both player better when the other isn't playing, strangely enough.

For me Lundstum is hugely underrated by many. He’s still relatively young, has strength, determination and I makes our midfield stronger. Last season he had the impossible task of replacing Coutts. This season he will grow into a powerful midfielder and if Coutts takes time to come back on song, he’ll be a big asset to our team.

Thought Evans wasn’t very good at all. My main issue is that he has no peripheral vision whatsoever. He passes what he sees and that lead to their goal last night. My issue with lundstram is that he always tries something he shouldn’t at the wrong time. Lundstram can be fixed, Evans can’t in my humble opinion

Maybe, didn’t notice it he didn’t but wouldn’t bother if was other way round either.

I’m the same I keep wanting Lundstram to step up and I think he will where as Evans just looks lost. He’s very erratic he will come find the Ball and move it quickly next time he won’t try get the ball and does a lapse pass.

Fair challenge, both went in firm but fair, one apparently was a bit shook up.
Maybe Lundstram did enquire as to his well being? No big issue to harp on about if he didn't..
Evans played well imo, he has something about him, just needs to move to next level, which he can I believe.
Egan? Whoever suggested he might be right sided CB instead of Bash might want to reassess after first viewing last night....

Agreed, though Egan looked a step up from Stearman in the middle of the 3, like the look of that back line.

Thought Lundstrom played ok last night. A fair challenge between a big unit and a smaller one, which I would not expect him to have gone in softly. Evans was not , in my opinion as good. Fleck, however, was magnificent.
What made me laugh was the medics. Their two minced on with a white handbag. Four old fellows then struggled on with a huge stretcher. Then as the lad was being carried off slowly by the four, two even older and less fit medics carried off the second unused stretcher. All the six of them must have been well hot as they were wearing so much hi vis. They probably got to the treatment room and all collapsed and had to be put on oxygen. I could not help but crack up at the comedy of the two medics in grey leisure suits, with boufont hair and white loafers and matching handbag. we were, and I don't know how, sat in amongst all the inter fans on the BLUT.
A loud Italian voice from behind " this is not a joke, not funny , haha."

From what was seen on the pitch, spoke to him just after (before people having a go at him for what was nothing other than a strong 50/50) and clapped him off the pitch.

Had it been the other way round, we wouldn't have been criticising the Inter man.

Perfectly fair challenge and lundstrom played very well last night. To say he was "awful" seems ridiculous to me.

Feel like Lundstram's going to be the great divider this season. I like him. He's got two feet, big strong lad, committed, not afraid to stick his head (legs/arms) where it might hurt. Think he needs to use what's between his ears a little more when in possession. Christ, he's twenty four, plenty of time for that to happen and improves every game.

It's amazing how people see things differently because I thought Lundstram was poor. Almost everything he tried didn't come off, usually because he makes the wrong decision. I still think some people over exaggerate how well he plays to try and make a point, after all the stick he got last year.
