Anything far away from this in the next league match and the lots going up... šŸ˜šŸ˜‚

So you’re gonna leave the back three and the entire foundation on which our build up play revolves?

There’s a reason Chris hasn’t started with a back 4 ever since the 5th game of the league one promotion season

None of our defenders are good enough to play in a back.four

I'm starting to think that foundation is getting very very predictable and Wolves demonstrated exactly what to do to stop us and they did it with ease. Until our change in shape we were struggling to chain passes together nevermind create a chance.

Not enough to completely rip up the way we've played which has got us 2 promotions and 9th in the Prem
Sometimes things have to change to progress. Im not necessarily wanting it all torn down its just an idea to help try and avoid the dire offensive displays that we have seen over the last several months.

I take it you didn’t see Egan in a back four for Ireland?

I'd be more concerned that the plan involves having someone who doesn't even play for us in the starting 11.

Not sure about the purple and black kit personally.

We do need to have the option to change things up a little. Villa will expect what we always do and prepare for that so lets fuck em up.

Our whole setup is built on our defensive solidity. But I’d like to see what Ampadu can do from a central position. If he can do what he did for Leipzig against Spurs it might allow us to push further up the field and negate the need for Norwood in some games. Allowing us not only to be higher up the field but free up a position for another attacking player.
That said I’d be tempted to stick Egan on the right of him because I think he’s a better defender than Bash.

Something along the lines of:

RWB - Egan - Ampadu - JOC - LWB

———— Berge ——- Fleck

HALLELUJAH A REASONABLE RESPONSE. Agree with Ampadu in the middle he was purring in that UCL match we just lack versatile forwards that could make up that spare offensive spot. Burke could potentially play with McBurnie and someone else in a front 3.

Ampadu shown in the UCL he’s capable of running games at the age of 19. He’s as comfortable with the ball as anyone we’ll have, being a defender shouldn’t mean he isn’t allowed to do that.

I’d love to see what he can do centrally.
