Just started to believe after seeing us score and create some chances. John Fleck why why why piss about like that! That's us dead and buried I'm afraid.

Can't blame Wilder for that really. Lundstram sod all, Berge sod all, Lowe sod all, Fleck disgraceful.

In a word. Depressed.
Max Lowe was lucky to stay on the pitch! What was he thinking. I will ways be a blade but my word I am thoroughly pissed off by them tonight. The team is full of weak links whether it be strikers missing sitters or defenders losing the ball. Every week a mistake costs us either at our end or the opponent.

But he does tell them how to and to some extent develop their ability to.

He's coaching them
We are losing games due to pure lack of ability or concentration. The strikers either miss a sitter or the defence drops a bollock. I'll never call players out and be derogatory but I'll acknowledge that their mistakes are costing us dearly.

Fuck sake that was just sickening to watch I am gutted.

with 3 mins to go you keep fucking possession, especially in our predicament! Pass back side to side but keep fucking possession! For fucks sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A draw would have been wonderful for confidence but oh no lets fuck about ………...eh?

They still have to man up and actually perform not continually boot the ball up like long ball losers.
His fault for buying a load of shit, he's got to take some blame for it

Not disagreeing with you I am disappointed with the signings but the players must also shoulder blame for dropping a bollock all. The. Fucking. Time.

Chris dropping to his knees said it all. We are in danger of finishing the season as a complete laughing stock. Relegation isn't even the worry now, getting a respectable points total is.

The mistakes being made are simple schoolboy stuff though even you wouldnt pass the ball to an opponent time after time or hoof it up to your best heading player and not be ready to collect it ?

See above post.

we were dead and buried before today if theres any certainty in football its that united and west brom will be relegated just a question of who gets the 3rd spot burnley or fulham never been as clear cut since derby went down

A point wasn’t good enough anyway, but u really couldn’t write it , Vardy scores last minute to win , we are down , it’s painful to watch us , we give the ball away , all the signings are weak, the only chance of scoring a goal is McB head , it’s not a case of down by Christmas , we’re down now .

I have this theory that the best players, top players don't necessarily do jaw dropping things, maybe Messi and Ronaldo excepted.

What makes them top players is that they do the very basics extremely well. They find space, they pass to their teammates, they don't miscontrol the football.

Lesser players do. It's not that James Maddison does some amazing things that John Fleck cannot. It's that Maddison doesn't put himself in situations like Fleck did today.

Better players simply make fewer mistakes. You can go through all our team. They just collectively make too many mistakes, be that today as one example defensively giving the game away or last week, creating enough chances to win 2 matches yet spurning the lot.

I agree tbh.

To lose concentration at a crucial point in a game to lose us a crucial point? There's no excuse at all im afraid. Fleck has let us, the team and all of SUFC down. Yes we stick together and go again but he has let us down today.

We looked half decent for 5 minutes when we stopped hoofing it.

This aimless long ball shite is getting on my tits now. This is a team completely devoid of ideas. If we're going to be more long ball at least be effective with it instead of just having this turgid nonsense week in week out. We will be shite to watch but it would be better than just surrendering every single week.

If we're going to do it our midfielders need to push up around McBurnie and pick the bits up. Burke/Brewester/Moose, whoever it is needs to learn where to be and where to position their runs rather than just sprinting round like headless chickens.

Or we could actually start to press teams again, force them into mistakes like we used to do and start creating those overloads out wide. Yes we've got injuries but if that means we can't be effective in the 3-5-2, work out a way to be more solid and create chances rather than doing a half-arsed hybrid between the two.

Do you not think the back 3 were way too flat so far up the pitch?
It was ridiculously easy for Varde.

For all this talk Wilder comes out with about 'not opening up' and 'not making it a game of basketball', our line was ridiculously high considering the factors of that game.

90th minute against one of the quickest and most clinical strikers in the league and we're almost on the edge of the centre circle. We can talk about individual errors, but tactically, that goes against everything Wilder has been talking about in terms of concentration and how we defend.

I am 90% sure Fleck wouldn't have expected what happened in a split second.. He lost control of a ball in place where most would expect the back line to cover. They were far too flat & high at a crucial stage.

I can think of a few goals last season as well that have been put down to individual error. I dont think these individual errors are anything new, we just get punished more at this level. I actually think we've got away with far too many over the last couple of seasons.

There seems to be a huge lack of concentration across the team but when the rest of the team can't cover them, what chance have we got.

We were pressing for the winner so they've pushed forward. If I'm honest I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the incident again so can't see whether they were too flat but regardless Fleck simply has to take responsibility for this. No doubt he has and I'm sure he's as disappointed as us, but fact remains if he hadn't lost the ball we wouldn't have conceded in the 90th minute.
