For making the worst most depressing Monday even more so.
Sure you'll say you bare responsibility. Yeah easy for you to say. And so easy to forgive for those who don't give a shit/ concentrate on the league/ not a priority crew.
You had chance to improve your own cup skill as in pick that had a semblance of a team. No, pick players that have hardly ever played together and expect them to be a team against a team that play together week in week out.
Not bothered who you sign for us, always want them to do well but give them a chance to be backed up by the rest of the team.
Disrespectful to the opposition. Disrespectful to the competition, Disrespectful most of all to the paying fans some of who, the game was the one they could afford to see their heroes in?
Don't worry we'll all get over it when you finish us in the top two. God forbid we don't end up in that cup competition that is the play offs.

Thanks Chris Wilder for taking the club from a mid table league one position to the top three in the Championship - all whilst having a better than zero net spend due to player sales. You are truly the football league's miracle worker. Nobody has achieved more with less. The defeat to Barnet yesterday was bad, but realistically I understand that due to our lack of squad depth and quality a run in the cup is extremely unlikely and probably very damaging to our league prospects (just ask Nigel Clough, or Bristol City last season). The best case scenario is probably to get Man Utd in the third round at Old Trafford and lose. Banking 1 million quid. Hopefully during your tenure we'll have an ownership who will back you to the extent we have a squad that can sustain an FA Cup and league campaign. As for the league cup: couldn't give a monkeys.

Boom!!

Thanks Chris for picking a team of players that are all experienced at Championship or higher. Thank you for showing respect to the competition and not picking the 23’s. Thanks for giving those players the opportunity to show their worth to the starting eleven and also showing Barnet due respect.

Shame we didn’t turn up though. :(

I (and many others I assume) got over it when the full time whistle went.

I'm old enough to remember Utd having some cracking FA Cup ties over the years and I have some wonderful memories of the Blades in that competition.

At full time yesterday, i was a bit pissed off with Utd for losing the game they really should have been winning even with the reserves out. I want Utd to win every game. But I took a bit of solace in seeing what it meant to Barnet who played with no little amount of effort and skill. They were superb by their own normal non league standards on the day and they thoroughly deserved it.

Half an hour after the game i was over it. The cup is great but I wouldn't have traded a single league point for a cup run this year. Not one. The league has always been my priority. What I was most fed up with was our reserve players attitude to the game yesterday, not so much going out of the competition. They played like they thought that they only had to turn up and it was job done. They got a bit of a rude awakening and the alarming bit was that they werent good enough to turn it around when it started to go wrong.

FA Cup competition...sorry no big deal from me this season. We have a much bigger game coming up next v QPR.

People go on about Wilder having a low budget and how well he’s done off it which is bang on the money but surely the FA Cup is the chance to enhance that budget even further, perhaps letting us bring a better player in during this transfer window? Beat Barnet, then get a good tie against Prem opposition and you’re not far off £750k?

If you win the 3rd tie you get £67,500 prize money. That’ll pay 1/8 of a loan fee.

Is that including gate receipts, then the prospect of playing on TV against a prem side?

I agree. It was an opportunity wasted by the lazy set of players we had playing for us yesterday. Financially it could have helped us a little bit. But they buggered it up and you can either be disgruntled for half an hour and accept it as a game we have lost, or people can be 'outraged' by it all, and go home kick the cat and have a rant on here for the rest of the day and next week about why everything sufc related is just shit.

Ultimately though, it's gone and we will get to the same place eventually. It's just that some of us have moved on from it already and didn't let it affect the rest of our Sunday / day off work.

Gate receipts of 9,000 will be tuppence h’appeny after costs are knocked off.

Not sure what the TV munneh is for a 4th round tie. Thought it was similar sum c. £75,000 for the early rounds? Clearly you’ll get some wedge for an away trip to Old Trafford, but you’ve got to draw them rather than the likes of Yeovil away.

Winners get £135k 3rd, £180k 4th.

'Big Gaz' signing for the Blades.....?? ;)

Actually, what time are we all meeting up today in the Lane car park with our mob mentality, pitchforks, and 'I'm outraged' posters??
Aaah'm ere already pal.
So enough of the what time you know what I'm saying?
11am for thee.
I've got hot pork sarnies and a flask of Bovril.
Daily Mirror under t left armpit.

Top work. I like thi cut of thi jib.

I'm on mi way after I've finished off my new 'Gaz is a Twat' poster with glitter and strawed shoe paper added for extra glamour.

As it is cold though I would advise everyone to bring along an extra pair of shoes to wave around in the car park as it is too chilly to take off the ones your wearing.

Please can everyone practice being outraged before they get to the car park please, as this is to be a serious 'I'm outraged' themed demo, and not a pretend one. A bit of gurning the face in the mirror might be good preparation.

Also, can any one bring a huge flask of tea and a selection of cup cakes. Some tomatoes to chuck at anyone looking official would also be welcome.

Is it not naive in the extreme to criticise a manager who's taken us to 3rd in the Championship for next to nowt.

I'd hate for him to think he'd be better off elsewhere

We should have played our best team and risked injuries then? Our neighbours did that and have lost Bannan and Hutchinson. We lost a game of football. Take a look around you and take a look at the news and the pain people are going through this morning. You have no idea what a depressing Monday is like have you?
