went today to derby and iv got to say thats the best atmosphere for ages we really got behind them today and made the match great.
best bit has to be after they just thought they had scored, adn the blades were doing the woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo waayyyyyyyyyyyyyy it was great good day to be a blade
also the new sufc song was great catchy
up the blades
once a blade always a blade

Excellent atmosphere - fair play to the Derby fans beside us who made a lot of noise too. Haven't been away this season yet and it was superb as usual.

The song was the one the England fans play - Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRlj5vjp3Ko) - with S U F C chanted after the der der der bit. The Blades fans really caught onto it just after the goal.

Also heard one at the back for Chedwyn - I think it was the one that Liverpool use for Torres - that ended 'Chedwyn Evans ... United's Number 9' before starting the 'nanananana' part - are there any other words anybody?!

UTB

We bought a lad from Man City called Ched, called Ched,
I'll fire you to the Premier League he said, he said,
He scored a goal and that was it, the Shoreham boys they had a fit,
Chedwyn Evans United no 9!

EDIT - Best away atmosphere we've had for a while today, really enjoyed it. I had a sore throat before I went, it's not been helped after that!

Cheers Daz - thats genius!

We have to get that one going at t'Lane!

was great atmosphere, the woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo waayyyyyyyyyyyyyy chant was hilarious coulldn't stop laughing!!!!! hopefully the same at coventry on tues...come on u blades!!!!!

it was the same away allocation (roughly) as they were giving away in the premier league which has to be 3000 minimum. I would assume we took 3000 ish.

Ched song hasn't reached my ears on the Valad ... South ... DAS ... f*** it, South Stand yet!

Heard several new songs today and also old ones. Bobby, Bobby, Bobby Ford resurrected. Atmosphere was great, obviously the performance helped, though I still had some idiot behind me say 'Morgan, you're rubbish' followed a few minutes later by 'Henderson, you're rubbish'. I thought he was going to work his way through the whole team! Why do these people bother going. And isn't Savage the most annoying to$$er you ever saw?

He's incredibly annoying if he's on the other team. If he was a blade, we'd love him. Too late now though, he's too old :)

Did I imagine it or wasn't it rumoured that Brian Bean Thai Curry was trying to lure him to us with some daft contract?

Bobby Ford resurrected

Now there`s a frightening thought for all Christians, though once or twice during his time at the Lane, crucifixtion for bobby did cross my mind.

Oh & Robbie Savage is a big bloody lass. Absolute tosh.

That was deliberate from Adebayour having seen it on MOTD.

Also his celebration made him an even bigger twat.

t'was indeed!

Just seen the stamp on MOTD, he's got a big job on trying to convince that it wasn't deliberate.

It's one of those that happens where the player can claim he just put his foot down without knowingly getting the player on the floor.

In this instance though, he's looking downwards and there seems to be movement towards the head.

With the celebration, I'm in two minds, I know if I was him and had thousands of mouthy cockneys on my back, I'd have been tempted to do the same! (although I'd have stopped for a rest about half way :D) It was stupid though, he should have tough about having a bit of class, punched the air, celebrated with his new fans, safe in the knowledge that he'd made a point against the Arse fans just by scoring.

I still think its hilarious that Arsenal are trying to take the high ground though and stand up for what is right. There are so many incidents I can think of from them which they completely ignored and got away with.

They been singing it on the back of the kop all this season, a few shout at them saying its a pig song.

I know :), I didn't mean today, I meant the first time I heard it :)

I don't buy into all this it's a wednesday song - its just a fun song/chant to sing along to which everyone knows - it wasn't as though they were the first fans ever to do it.

There was another new song which made it's way onto the stand yesterday and was also sung on the train back and is, I believe first done in england in this stle by FCUM supporters

"I AM A SHEFF U FAN
I AM A YORKSHIRE MAN
I KNOW WHAT I WANT, AND I KNOW HOW TO GET IT
I WANNA DESTROY WEDNESDAY AND SKY
COS IIIIIIIIIII WANNNAAA BEEEEE
SUFCCCCCC"

United have needed new songs for a while so for 3 to turn up in the same match is good.

For me a Der-Der-Der song is a pig song. A load of noise in support of no-one in particular. As likely to lift the opposition as your own team. It just reflects a lack of imagination to get proper songs going.

Besides that, I like the things which distinguish us from Wednesday, and hate it when we try to sound like them - whether it was their idea originally or not.

Wordless songs are generic tat, sung by every plastic club across the country. If Wednesday want to be that type of club - fine. I don't want United to go the same way.

It's great that the atmosphere's picking up again - but please let's keep it United.

Didn't liverpool start singing it ages ago for benitez?

Derby been singing it with DCFC for ages, we probably picked it up off them on Saturday...
