View from the train home:

Started shaky, scored against the run of play with a decent finish from Baxter. They equalised with a soft, soft goal when Collins lost his man at the near post.

Second half we improved hugely but got a lifeline when Peterborough hit the post. Davies' goal was class and a deserved winner.

Full report to follow.

Some observations from the match tonight IMO;

Whilst not outstanding Collins and Doyle added some much needed familiarity and stability in key areas.

Started poorly, looked vulnerable with no composure or confidence on the ball, but got stronger as the game went on particularly second half.

Rode our luck at times and we were let off the hook on a couple of occasions by poor finishing and a brave Howard save.

Alcock was very impressive again, Brayford he is not in a marauding attacking sense but if he carries on with this form we will have ourselves another cult hero.

Murphy showed glimpses of the quality we saw from him last season

Basham was poor, hoping there will be a big improvement from him.

Fans were great, my mam sat opposite side of the ground with her Peterborough supporter friend and mentioned how good we sounded!
