Terry Kennedy

Terry Kennedy was absolutely miles off a competent league one defender, but he was probably the least embarrassing defender we had, which really brings home the utterly atrocious standard of the squad.

It's just Adkins showing himself for what he is again.

He's absolutely clueless.

What sort of deal have Cambridge got him on. His knees are dodgy, if he can't put two games together for us, what do Cambridge want him for. Playing for Cambridge is still at a professional level.i don't get it.

It's an odd way to go about things, why not give him reserve team games here twice a week if the issue is his knee?

True but I reckon he has either arthritis in the knee, thin cartilage or a bit of both. Needs to be moved on for me but a great shame as he is a very good defender.

This is pure and simply a post spamming the forum and hopefully Foxy and Lyndz will recognise it as such....

...tick tock Barny, tick tock.

Yeah, it'd be great if we only needed 1 centre back rather than 2
My glass is half full on Edgar recapturing his form and Wallace/Baxter/Reedie/Coutts/maybeHammond making Bash redundant in the middle of the park so he can stay CB too!

Relying on loan players and central midfielders isn't the way forward, I thought we learned this, if Adkins didn't, from last season

Most important aspect in all of this is Adkins seems to be developing a decisive trait that has been missing since his arrival. I hope this decisiveness will accelerate towards and into the JTW.

Finally wish Tel all the best. Sincerely hope he can overcome his injuries and come back stronger and continue his career with us.

Can you stop being a complete and utter twat on every single thread. Thanks in advance.

I don't see what the problem is here, yes hes a good defender but when was the last time he played 5 games in a row?

He will be far from match fit. He could potentially get match fit playing for the U21's but League 2 is a much higher standard and Cambridge aren't a great side so he will be tested frequently plus we get a few quid off of our wage bill (drop in the ocean I know).

Hopefully he stays fit and plays reasonably well so he can come back and challenge for a starting role.

I've been thinking similar. It seems that he's been cautious, assessed the squad properly and is now taking steps to start to sort things out. There's been a few comments on here about him being 'too nice' which is usually a euphemism for not being bold enough to make difficult decisions. It looks like the 'nice' stage is over.

I do hope your funny feeling is wrong.

Brayford is 6' tall - great overlapping full back and offers something way above 3rd tier standard at FB.

Now Edgar is 6'4" - that's a proper size for a centre half.

The trouble about a struggling team is the square peg in round holes scenario starts to come out.

If Adkins even considers Brayford at CH then that will be a sad day - we have to get out of this league by having players playing their correct positions not experiment with yet something else.

UTB

Will you please stop talking sense because it's just confusing !! ;)

Why on earth would we consider playing a very good right fullback at right fullback ? Surely it helps to confuse the opposition when we play fullbacks at CH and of course, it saves us actually having to sign a decent CH

Similarly, we can play midfield players on the wing or at CH, its just advanced tactics I believe. Awaiting the opportunity to see George Long at Centre Forward in the near future ..........

I am for now giving Adkins the benefit of the doubt with certain players. He said he would give everyone a chance and I reckon he has been true to his word. Fortunately we are "just" in touch with the leaders and although some say it's too late for top two - it isn't - it's just a bit more difficult than it was at week 1. He doesn't have long left before it is too late - but anything around 10 points up until January is still ok.
It will be a shame about Freeman, but before his injury, Brayford was much better at defending and nearly as good as Freeman at going forward. If there was no adverse reaction after last nights U21, then we hopefully will see Brayford round beginning of December. A defence of Brayford/Edgar/Collins/Harris should be enough although I can see the giant from Fulham coming in during the JTW.

Still think we would be infinitely better with James Wallace in CM - if I was catholic, I'd be saying a pray each evening for him to stay fit. Would like to see Hammond and Wallace - Hammond has been poor, but we HAVE to allow him a bit more time and to pick up the pace of this division.

If we are to do something, then December is the crucial month - I personally don't give a monkeys what teams we have to play in December - the TEAM has to start taking responsibility for allegedly being better than what this division has to offer and we PUT a string of good quality performances together.

The bonus might be this forum is a tad better than the constant doom and gloom it has become recently.

I look forward to your coined phrase "agricultural division" being a phrase never to be heard again :)

Exactly 3 players shipped out on loan in the last 2 weeks or so and more to follow I reckon. Hopefully it will free up wages to help us land Dan Burn or someone else on loan.

What a f***ing joke of a decision from Adkins. We are woeful at centre half, and yet the best centre half by a country mile gets loaned out to Cambridge. Perhaps we should have seen this coming after Adkins made McEveley captain and started the season at centre half... obviously another manager who is clueless with regards to centre halves. Must be something to do with the name Nigel.

Making fucking plans for Nigel.

Fingers crossed he heads bricks for 2 months, shows us that he can play twice a week and returns in January to save us from an unneccesary signing in the JTW
And when he returns he can play a key part in our relegation battle .

I'd rather we saved Collins wages and send him to Cambridge :(

Wouldn't work

1. Cambridge couldn't afford his wages
2. Tel won't be able to play all the games for us in that period. With Collins we'll be short at the back.

Just learned about this. Absolutely ridiculous decision. He can;t play regularly so why loan our best CB out? Jesus wept,
