Yes so tragic. We spoke about his son Christopher, Terry told me he also has a son now in the RAF. I didn't know that before.

Solid professional. Loyal to Ipswich and someone I tried to emulate as a teenage centre back. Strong in the air and in the tackle but slightly limited pace wise. Negated that with good positional sense. Be no good whatsoever in the modern game where tackles are normally a minimum of a yellow card.

Players like that adapt so he would have made it Tony Adams who was built from the same mould did and to an extent our Harry.
