Ten years ago today, Blades record signing

August 4th 2007 we sign James Beattie for a record £4 million from Everton. It remains our most expensive signing to this day. Before then, beating our transfer record happened quite regularly. If we are in the top ten come January it wouldn't surprise me if we finally beat our transfer record.
