Freeman on the right to give us width on the right. Adams should provide it on the left. McNulty did nothing to stake a claim and we'll need more of a target man up there if we'll be lacking true width a lot of the time because we won't/can't always play through the middle.

Im not a big fan of Alcock, but anything has to be better than our "Captain". People complaining last year that he was playing centre half when he was full back but this year it has been confirmed that he isn't a full back either just a complete shower!
The beard will be back by the new year so it will just have to be wallace, alcock and freeman till then. How long is Harris out for?

Why would you switch Freeman from his favoured position to accommodate Alcock, who has played at left back many times in the championship and is probably just as capable of playing left back than he is right back. By doing so, aren't you just weakening both full back positions?

Just going with what Mr Adkins thinks who would be best for each side!

Alcock doesn't offer much offensively regardless of which side he plays on. Freeman is considerably more effective going forward from right back.

Any combination of Basham/Baxter, Basham/Reed, Baxter/Reed is too weak in the centre, but play all three there and it means they can cover for each other a bit and keep possession a bit better, 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 suits all three of them best (same for Scougall). 4-4-2 is a nice idea, but McNulty never saw the ball in the first half today. Hopefully we keep some width rather than just go with three outright strikers, otherwise it just encourages long balls, although Sammon did a better job than Woolford at tracking back to help out in defence.
