After that second half performance against Man Utd last night here's my team for Sundays match v Brighton. GO FOR IT on Sunday

Ramsdale

Boldock Basham Egan Robinson

Fleck Ampadu Osborne

McGoldrick

Burke Mousett or Brewster
SUBS: Mousett/Brewster, Stevens, Jagielka, Sharp, Verrips, Norwood, Lundstram

Wilder said about leaving us exposed a bit with the formation we played at the end against Man U but it’s sh*t or bust at the minute so I’d go with it

Verrips
Baldock Egan Basham/Robinson Stevens
Basham/Berge Ampadu Fleck/Osborn
McGoldrick
Brewster. Burke/Mousset

Give or take a couple of potential injury’s I think that’s the way to go to actually get some points maybe Lundstram too UTB

Only decision will be which hat to chose

I suspect some of our players will have to be rested after the exertions and with the run of games coming up. I'm assuming he won't play Lunny with the JTW on the horizon. So, I reckon

------------------Ramsdale
-------------Bash--Egan--Robinson
Baldock--Norwood--Osborn--Fleck---Stevens
---------Brewster----------------Mousse

We're looking very thin in terms of squad depth. Might even need to recall captain Jack from his tropical island.

If they were all fit I'd pick last nights starting lineup again but change the bench. If Berge is unfit then Lundstram would be my first choice to replace him. I'd also consider bringing Rodwell in and keeping Bash in the RM role.

I was pleased to see McG doing well as I'd already suggested he needed to return as we aren't good enough at football without him. Robinson is not great, but head and shoulders above any of the alternatives and I thought Fleck was much better last night and we managed to build some pressure down the left for the first time this season. I also learnt that Jags is sadly no longer capable of meeting the required levels.

Finally, although I can see some merit in the McG, Mousse & Brewster combo I think it's too risky to start out like that. We do need to win but only by one goal, as we proved plenty of times last season.

Ramsdale (he will keep picking him)
Baldock Basham Egan Robinson Stevens
Norwood Fleck
McGoldrick
Burke/Brewster/Mousset (2 of these 3)

Think we have to tweak it slightly. Could play Ampadu at LCB

3-4-1-2:
Ramsdale
Basham Egan Robinson
Baldock Ampadu Fleck Stevens
McGoldrick
Burke Brewster
Subs: Verrips, Jagielka, Osborn, Norwood, Lundstram, Mousset, Sharp;

So? We know their career records. None of them are PL class.

Ramsdale doesnt appear premier league class at present either. He may be in the long run, but for me we should think about trying somebody else.

well, that’s true. I don’t know about last year but he’s not good enough now.

I just think Wes is terrible, and I am wary of Verrips.

Have you ever seen verrips play?

against Fylde, before he got knocked out.

I remember Lee Baxter. I do not want to stick someone untried whose played 1 game in 2 seasons in the PL.

I just think Rammers confidence is shot in a George Long fashion and continuing playing him could be detrimental to him and us.

Bash in a two man midfield,as he has the workrate and fitness for it and was brilliant vs man u.

Burke on at 60 for Mousse or even HT to press the shit out of Brighton. Didzy will be his usual self linking our midfield. Hopefully playing the old system will allow us to drop slightly deeper, making us less exposed in defence

we are stuck with him because:

  • it was a massive overpay and we won’t get our money back
  • he looks shellshocked and makes mistakes so no one will want him
  • Wilder is too stubborn to leave him out

this time next season if he carries on like this he will be on our bench.

Yep we've known for months our unique 3-5-2 system doesn't work without O'Connell so we should scrap it and go 4-3-3 with Didzy in that number 10 roll.

Rammers
Baldock Egan Robinson Stevens
Bash Ampadu Fleck
McG
Brewster Burke

Bash or Amps dropping into RCB with Burke to RCM if we're in the need of some centre back overlappyness maybe (not sure Burke is good enough defensively)?
Burke to RAM and McG LAM if we need a bit more in midfield.

Didz in a 10 please!

Moose and Bruce up top.

Fleck and Lunny in the middle.

Stevens at LCB with Osborn At LWB.

Come on Chris mate. Roll the dice and take a chance.

That, in defence can become

-------------------------------Ampadu-----------------------------

----Basham--------McGoldrick-------Burke-----------Osborn-----

-------------------------------Brewster-----------------------------

On change of possession

We need more midfield presence.
