The bench should be the only point of debate. For me...

Moore, Cranie, Coutts, Johnson, Dowell, Clarke, Madine

Washington has a good touch. Lacks a striker's brain. He was done no favours by being taken off before we started having any meaningful possession.

Agree about the rest of them.

Would still think Stearman will get a place, I'd put Johnson of a Megabus back to Boro to be honest to make space.

If Madine is here for anything surely it’s to be a game changer from the bench?

Cannot see either of the front two being benched for him on current form, and one other for sure is none of yesterday’s mob made any claim to start either.

I'd want and expect the following

Hendo

Bash - Egan - JOC

Baldock - Norwood - Fleck - Stevens

Duffy

Goldy - Sharp

Subs:
Moore
Crainie
Freeman
Dowell
Coutts
Clarke
Madine

The bench looks considerably stronger than it has all season.

Two real options up top for the first time with Dowell a proper option for changing it for Duffy (Goldie has been a good option for that but is taking on that role having done a 70 minute shift as our "target" man.

Coutts is cracking option if needed in the middle and Cranie and freeman can cover CB and wide.

The problem is beyond these 18 we are still pretty thin (Stearman aside I guess). I've reluctantly reached the conclusion I'd rather have Ched back than rely on Washington as option up front. There may also be hope for Kean Bryan yet, very difficult to judge him on Sunday's performance.

I'm not sure I've seen anything in Coutts to suggest he's going to be anything like dependable this season.

A noticably stronger line-up for us on Saturday than the one that picked up 3 points at Loftus Road last August. I’m sure they’ve improved since then too (their form would suggest so) but in that game we were weaker in defence, midfield, and attack, plus had far fewer options to change things from the bench.

Henderson
Bash Egan JOC
Baldock Norwood Duffy Fleck Stevens
McG Sharp

Raring to go.

Bench (Punishment 7): Moore Coutts Cranie Dowell Madine Clarke Stearman

Harsh on Washington and given how poor we are at sticking defenders on to protect a lead I'd rather he be there over Stearman to be fair and I'd maybe put Eastwood in to give Moore a kick up the arse.

Madine on the bench unless there's an injury
Lets hope washing machine breaks his leg in training tomorrow that would save a lot of hassle. Can see there being a lot of trouble on the kop in the next few weeks for and against him

Same as

Not that anyone was good last week, but Clarke's performance should have played himself off the bench for this one. Washington still offers something a bit different to Madine, but I don't see us using both Madine and Clarke together.

Leon is our oldest player and looks about finished now.

I don’t remember us playing 6 at the back.
