Lots of experts on here tonight about what team should've played.. so.... against Everton... who should play?

For me:

Hendo
Baldock
JOC
Egan
Basham
Stevens
Norwood
Besic
Freeman
Mousett
Robinson

Same back 5 as always

Lunny-Norwood-Freeman

Mousset/Robinson-McBurnie

Although Fleck played well I don’t think Freeman deserved to lose his place. I think Rav should come on for Lunny if creativity is needed and that Mousset or Robinson should replace the other one at 60th or 70th minute to be able to throw pace at tired legs.

McGoldrick surely needs to be dropped if, as a premier league striker, he can’t finish his dinner. Also, besides his pings, I have not been impressed with Norwood as an overall midfielder but his passing range and vision is ridiculous.

Norwood I think needs to play because of his passing. It can be game changing. At the moment, we dont have anyone else who can pass like that.

Completely agree. Obviously had a nightmare for the goal vs S’ton but, right now, we have no one to replace him with that can pass like he can so needs to (and probably will) start for the foreseeable.

Henderson

Basham Egan JOC

Baldock Besic Fleck Stevens

Morrison

Mousset Robinson

Subs;
Moore
Jagielka
Osborn
Norwood
Freeman
McBurnie
McGoldrick

Norwood would be lucky to get a shirt?
Norwood will be vital against Everton, especially if we are dropping deeper and playing on the counter.

He gave away possession poorly at times, but could have contributed to a few goals on Saturday with excellent long pings to the wingbacks, for me it was the front 2/3 that really let us down that day, we could have outscored them having put away our chances

This. Robinson and McBurnie simply because they are our only strikers to score so far (along with Billy), robinson will provide pace on the counter with McB’s aerial threat.

Mousset as plan B to come on for either if required. Lunny will provide strength in midfield, Freemans creativity, Norwood solely for his pings.

After feeling disheartened from the weekend its Monday now and I’m feeling positive for Saturday, especially with our last away performance. McBurnie up front with Mousset for me I reckon to start. I think I’m still buzzing from Chelsea to be fair and expecting the same or better - come on Chrissy let’s get back on the peroni’s !!!

This is how I'd go, I believe one of our problems is hitting teams on the counter, McB and Didzy simply don't push forward quick enough IMO. I think Moose and Robinsons pace would solve that.

Pity Ollie didn’t ping it out wide to Baldock on Saturday in acres of space , should have fouled the player as well to stop his run , solid game other than that

What's Lundstram done to you?

Done absolutely nothing wrong, the midfield has been fine, Fleck got put back which made us less incisive as he isn't as quick or able to take on and turn a man.

We've used that a lot with Freeman.

Freeman for Fleck

Moose for McGoldrick

McBurnie fighting it out with Robinson.
Your joking right fleck can't take on or turn a man he does it consistently he needs to be in the team

Didn't say can't, but he doesn't do it with the speed of Freeman, and we've used that pace to build good attacks.

Fleck was alright but Freeman didn't deserve to lose his place for him.

I agree that Freeman didn't do a great deal wrong but imo we are a better midfield with fleck playing perhaps they can play together

Would like Robinson and moose up front and Fleck freeman and Norwood midfield

Everton had a bad result on the weekend. Hopefully Blades take them 3 points.

Spoke to an Everton season ticketholder this evening. He said Everton's midfield have been disappointing this season. He says Iwobi has been impressive but I was surprised that he doesnt rate Richarlison. We talked about DCL, he says he is fast and good in the air but his hold up play isnt PL level and Duncan Ferguson has worked with him a lot in training. Walcott and Baines are now "over the hill"
