That 11 was perfect against a tiring and 10 man BC side. The 11 that started were perfect to start a 2 leg play off game away from home. I would start the same 11 again on Monday and then make subs according to the score after 60 minutes…is the better side and should be the starting 11…
Happy to concede that one but I think Brooks, Davies and O’Hare make us a much more dynamic attacking unitHamer didn’t finish the first leg.
No way we are a better team with mcallum on the left over Gus.
I’d invert that and start the team that finished on Thursday and revert as and when needed. That 11 was perfect against a tiring and 10 man BC side. Either should be good enough to defend/extend a 3-0 leadI’d invert that and start the team that finished on Thursday and revert as and when needed.
Completely agree. My reasoning is it feels right to reward the players that came on with a start and get some minutes into their legs. I genuinely think Brooks, O’Hare and Davies carry a bigger goal threat too.Either should be good enough to defend/extend a 3-0 lead
If not - well we can all pack upEither should be good enough to defend/extend a 3-0 lead
Exactly right. If I’m honest it’s what annoys me about the play-offs. Bristol City are nowhere near good enough to be promoted. Having to play them with a 22 point gap feels wonky. If not - well we can all pack up
They will come at us hard at the start of the match in a way that away teams don’t usually do. We will need to see that out before we can gradually gain more control of the game. We are good at that, which is why our away record is so strong. It’s also why the starting line up from the 1st leg should be starting again.Completely agree. Or hit them on the break once and kill it off? I honestly don’t think Brewster for Brooks, Davies for Peck and O’Hare for Moore/Campbell weakens us defensively that much…They will come at us hard at the start of the match in a way that away teams don’t usually do. The starting line up is perfectly capable of hitting them on the break.Or hit them on the break once and kill it off? I honestly don’t think Brewster for Brooks, Davies for Peck and O’Hare for Moore/Campbell weakens us defensively that much…
Oh absolutely. Just not as capable as the team finishing against Bristol City (IMO)The starting line up is perfectly capable of hitting them on the break.
