Team prediction v Bolton

On Saturday against Boro, they were torn apart by Traore's pace. Brooks is the only option we have that offers something similar. Very different players mind, Traore is very powerful while Brooks is nimble and agile, but they both have the same impact. I would start Brooks tonight

We haven't conceded many while he's been between the sticks, but how much of that is down to him and how much is down to the defence? I like Blackman - he's got a good reach and a good kick, and seems to be a decent shot stopper, but on balance I think I'd feel safer with a fit Moore, who proved his worth last season with some terrific saves.

Was mainly bantering. I agree with what you're saying but I'm quite happy with either of them. Neither of them make the lads in front of them nervous and I think that's the most important thing.

Ideally, same team with Clarkey in for The Don, but maybe Brookesy.

Wild card option - wonder whether Baldock could come in for Freeman, just to freshen things up. 3 games in a week is reasonably tough going for the wing backs, and I think Baldock's got the potential to be a great player for us.

Same again with Leon in for the Don.

Bolton are there for the pummelling, though a scrappy 1-0 with the ball coming off Billy's backside in the 90+5 min, will do. The papers will still say Bolton 0-1 United in the morning...

Interesting you have CCV instead of Jake Wright, thought about this myself as all the threat will be in t`air tonight.

Agreed. That's why 6-4 Heneghan should come in for Wright rather than 6-0 CCV. I have seen neither play and do not suggest that Jake Wright 'deserves' to be dropped. He is, however, the shortest of our centre-backs and I fear he'll lose out in the inevitable blitzkrieg from the Hoofwaffe.

Brooks in for Clarke is what I'd like to see personally, but I suspect Clarke will come back in. Talk of shifting formation from Wilder today might be a deliberate misdirect.
Agreed, would also like to see young Brooks start but I suspect he'll go with Clarke. Their defence looked a shambles on Saturday, Brooks will cause them some problems coming off th bench.
