Maybe a bit harsh on Moore and Lavery, but apart from that the others need the biggest kicking Tufty can give them. Basham and EEL were dreadful. Coutts and Duffy have one pace - dead slow - which is OK when you're winning but not when you're not - and what McNuts is doing starting is beyond me.

It was weird, nobody around me was disappointed because we were so bad it was a joke.

Having 4 new faces ready to go is the only bright light tonight - though heaven knows what they thought they had got themselves into. It's a good job they've already signed!

For me it's two certain changes, one being Wright in for Ebanks & Hanson in for McNulty. Also maybe O'Shea or Carruthers in for Duffy

Moore
Basham Wright O'Connell
Freeman Carruthers O Shea Fleck Riley
Sharp Hanson
Subs:- Ramsdale, EEL, Coutts, Duffy, Done, Clarke, Lavary

I have no confidence in whoever we pick being any better than that dross today. It's so flat and talentless at the moment it just knocks the motivation right out of you

4-42:
Moore
Freeman EEl Wright Lafferty
Riley Basham Fleck Done
Lavery Sharp
Subs: Ramsdale, O'Connell, Carrethurs, Duffy, O'Shea, Hanson;

Only Sheffield united could be top of the league and start fucking up so badly we look at changing players who promotion winning teams never change through the season, such as centre halves. The predictability of this collapse is seriously pissing me off.

^^ BASHAM IN MIDFIELD EVEN MORE INSANE THAN HIM AT CB

i guess its harsh on Basham since EEL has been garbage recently but would give him one last chance playing a) alongside Wright and b) not in the middle of the 3 before he gets dropped

Defenders, fucking defend. Wilson, earn a place in the team.

Defence desperately needs tightening & properly marshalling.
Just as vital to reintroduce that purpose, aggression, tempo into midfield.
"Trust the process" up front if the other two areas can be put right.

Has Wilson played much since he scored the winner against Oxford? We brought EEL in straight after and Wilson got injured. Much like O'Connell he looked much more comfortable in a back three with Wright.

Only for the u23s. They're on a fine run too - unbeaten in 2 months. He's been captaining them, I believe.

(Proviso: the u23s score a lot, but they do seem to concede a fair few too.)

Wilson's inclusion may raise a few eyebrows but I recall him and Wright being very good alongside eachother when we beat Oxford and against Gills away. He was unlucky to be subbed in that match and unfortunately for him EEL smashed it from then on in, but my God he looks woeful at the minute.

Carruthers looked quality during his brief appearance and seemed to move the ball around quicker than our other midfielders. It won't do Duffy any harm to warm the bench for a game or 2 either. O' Shea just gives us another option behind and around the strikers. Hanson on late if needed to smash a tiring defence about.

Replace EEL with Wright, then replace O'Connell and Basham with a fridge and a Black and Decker workbench = instant improvement.

What a load of crap.
Moore was MOM tonight. Lavery did more in 45 minutes than McNulty has since the pissed up idle cunt has done since he's been here.
I agree about EEl and to a lesser extent Basham. Making the number of changes you advocate shows you know very little about managing a football team. It smacks of complete desperation and tells the opposition and your own fans you are basically a clueless cunt.(Not you,the manager)

A lot hinges on those 4, judging by last nights showing, lets hope one or two of the others can rediscover their form. Duffy has been brilliant on a number of occasions this season, but last night was one of his worst displays in a red and white shirt. Did Fleck get subbed at half time, because he seemed to disappear second half. I like Scougs, but did anyone think that he was going to make any difference to our performance last night, just got swallowed up in a sea of blue shirts like the rest. Bash played a major part in their first, but at least when he got on the ball he looked to drive forward, baffling substitution IMHO.

Give the team and formation that got us up to the top a chance to do the business.... loads of good options on the bench if it's not working.
