As mentioned on other threads the team hardly picks itself at the moment just wondering who people would go with tomorrow considering the injuries, suspensions etc.

Personally
Turner
Freeman Brayford McEveley Harris
Davies Doyle Coutts Murphy
Done Davies

Only change but brayford RB and put alcock in for freeman at CB

Turner. Freeman Alcock McEveley Harris

Brayford. Coutts. Doyle. Murphy

Davies. Done

Think he might go 4-3-3

Turner
Freeman Brayford McEverley Harris
Reid Coutts Doyle
Done S.Davies Murphy

has to be Brayford and Jay-Mac for me. Alcock is too small to partner him.

Not sure who Personally is but like the idea of a 2nd keeper stood behind Turner

How is your mate taking the current unravelling Coops?

Any combination in the back four today fills me with foreboding Baryford is too one footed to play CB and Allcock is gash.

We may need to score two or three ourselves just to get a point

Freeman is far too patchy at right back. My team would be, assuming Flynn and Collins are injured:-

Turner
Alcock-Brayford-McEveley-Harris
Davies-Doyle-Reed-Murphy
Baxter
Done

It's an absolute joke on Clough's part that we have realistically one proper centre half at the club that he will select (Kennedy and he's injured) let alone proper back up for the position. This is why we're scratching around in 5th position rather than top two. Any good team is built around a good defence, that's where Clough's United fall down.

Keeper - back four - three midfielders - two wingers - one striker

Probably more important to get that bit right before thinking who to put where

I have been reading that McEveley hasn't trained all week due to shoulder injury. The suggestion is it will be Brayford and Alcock as CH's.

Conundrum given is his dislike of 4-4-2 who will he bench Done or Davies?

McEverley was one of the 23/24 players in training kit at the Lane yesterday

Hope he is fit - I was going on this in the Sky website

"Sheffield United will be without suspended defender Chris Basham, who starts a two-game ban after reaching 10 yellow cards, and boss Nigel Clough is short of cover in central defence.

Terry Kennedy (knee) is expected to be sidelined for at least another two weeks and Jay McEveley has not trained this week due to a shoulder problem, so John Brayford could partner Craig Alcock at the heart of defence."

Kennedy was in training kit at the Lane yesterday too, as was Flynn, James Wallace and Scougall

Must be dawning on Allcock that if he can't get into the starting eleven today he is probably never going to start for us again.

Good side should be strong enough

I like your optimism sitwell

Hard to share it tho, although I probably thought same as you last 3 home games

Add to that it was back in the 50's I believe when we last beat Scunny on their patch and perhaps it's understandable why my glass is half empty

Picked up a lottery ticket on the way home! (I know the system wasn't quite the same)

Believe it or not been to Scunny half-a-dozen times now and only seen us lose once, we've even had 2 wins, albeit 1 in a friendly and the other in the Associate Members Cup. That defeat, 2-1 in the Fourth Division when Steve Neville got sent off 5 minutes after coming on as a sub, the same 'battling bird' game on the other Scunny thread I believe.
