Only 4 of those players I'd have said I'd be happy with being in a Premier League starting 11 a couple of months ago: Baldock, Anel, Egan & Norwood. The rest are a mixture of acceptable squad players (Foderingham, Robinson, Lowe, Osborn) and complete gambles (Slimane, Traore).

Good job our first couple of games are really difficult so we weren't expecting to get any points out of them anyway.

I can't make a decent Championship team out of our squad, never mind a Premier League one.

Will happily give them a chance and look forward to seeing them.

But no one can argue anything other than them being a complete gamble. These sort of players you want to bring in to back up what we already have, give them opportunities from the bench and in cup games and see what they have and give them chance to stake a claim in the starting 11. Instead, we're faced with them being dropped in straight away, in to a league which is far superior to what they've come from, a new country, a team which has just been ripped apart in 10 days by selling it's 2 best players, and the players they would have been earmarked to be the understudies for.

I won't get on their back, nor should any fans IMO. But I'd say the prospects of them succeeding this season is slim to none.

In fairness to Andre Brooks, he put a decent shift in against Spurs and it's obvious that Hecky and the others rate him quite highly (there's no way he was put into that team for a game as big as that just to make up the numbers without being rated to certain extent), could he be a possible one to break into the team this year, even if it's just as a sub and occasional starter?

On reflection of who is going to be here and who isn't come Saturday, also taking into consideration that Souza has a chance of being signed and registered in time for that game, I'd go with something like this.

5-3-2 (obviously this would change depending on the Souza situation)
