Baffled at Clarke ahead of sharp. Sharp is here and wants to play he needs minutes to keep him fresh. Clarke won’t be anywhere near our bench let alone starting XI.

Should be a new

Yeah it seems a strange one. Could be that Sharp may be in line for a start in our next league match? Or that CW doesn't want to risk an injury to our match day squad.
Either way, with that line up(on paper) we should be winning this one easily. Will probably lose just like Barnet last year though hah.

Genuinely looking forward to the midfield three. L. Freeman on left and Ravel on right with Besic as the defensive play maker could work really well. Freeman and Ravel are skilfull/ attacking (both CAM) and Besic plays decent long passes on the floor, could lead to good direct attacking football through the middle, which is something our starting 11 lack. I think, its where we fell short vs Newcastle.

Most of that team have had no game time hope it’s not a another giant killing.

That looks a very good side imo , can’t believe we have a second 11 as strong as that with the amount of money we have spent !!
As ever UTB !

That starting eleven is stronger than the ones before Wilder came in
Think that's a testament to how far we've come

Seems you were right about Clarke starting, don’t understand it at all. Shows a sheer lack of quality in depth, Sharp deserves a start in my opinion.

Think Sharp not starting shows he may be a little more involved in the league going forward. disappointed with the bench I must admit do we really have no kids at all that could make the bench?

That's a weak team.

When you seriously consider how far a lot of those are from making a first team spot their own.

We've no idea yet if Bryan is Premier League, League One or Non-League at this stage. Jags is in his final year or penultimate one and Rodwell has played so little over the past 3 years.

Same could be said for Ravel and latterly Leon. plus the keeper is totally untested at this level.

It's the sort of complacent team selection that sees big teams get knocked out.

Hope I'm wrong!

Who would you have picked? League is priority and after the festive period the 1st 11 need a break.

I'm not saying I disagree with the prioritisation. But you can't expect any sort of performance with so many changes. But I would have started Sharp.

Brighton made 7 changes and got what they deserved.

It's just a shame the FA Cup has lost so much value over the past decade or so.

The midfield looks juicy, really interested to see how those 5 get on.

I don't have much faith however in the front 2 to score or the back 3 to defend.
