A few weeks ago I said that. But after watching us play against Man C and Liverpool in the space of 4 days and with a home game against West Ham 5 days after this, we need to rest some players.

And rightly so, the kids should be well versed on how we play, it allows them to step right into the first team when ready.

the reason I suggest 4 at the back is purely a personnel matter. Wilder has said he’s giving some of the players 3 days off. Leaving the remainder of the squad.. think Bryan is a liability and would be included for no other reason that playing 3 at the back.and I don’t see Jags getting forward the way Bash does. So unless he plays the kids I don’t really see the point in sticking with the 3 at the back for this game.

Think Morrison and Clarke will be leaving but on frees or loans so may as well give them a run here?

Based on the team I've selected, Morrison is the playmaker, but more in a Courts than Norwood role. Needs L Freeman and the wing back to be up for it though for that to work.

I always look forward to these games, getting to see the backup players & whether any of them are pushing. Invariably they've disappointed. I was all for playing between 5-7 of our first team & bedding in fringe players around them to see how they'd cope. Alas, having seen the Liverpool game I agree with Wilder.

The only subs I'd make would be to bring on Robinson, McBurnie & then maybe Basham or someone who's legs can cope.

Seems you were right about Clarke starting, don’t understand it at all. Shows a sheer lack of quality in depth, Sharp deserves a start in my opinion.
