Say we finish 7 points behind 2nd after pretty much wasting the 1st month and fail in the Playoffs (yet again) then the boards inaction to the majority of the transfer window will look a bit ridiculous.

One could argue its inaction another could argue it’s the window opening up. I don’t think we get Tanganga a month ago, but we seem to be able to now

Yeah can't disagree with that at all Billy and if our squad when the window shuts is a lot stronger, and more importantly what Selles needs for his ways to work, then I'll be happy.

I get that totally and if you look back at my previous posts I'm far from a bedwetter.

I suppose we'll never know as the only way to quantify that would be if Selles' list of targets was made public to be cross referenced by who we actually signed and on what date.

I've always said I'll judge the owners and the manager on what happens after the window has shut and I'll stand by that.

My big issue with him is he is probably the least commanding of those 3 and that is really what we need right now. Guess if the plan is to play him with Mee rather than Bindon that might not be such an issue.

Doyle is worse than Anel (who was worse than Robinson) in the air. Tanganga has improved, at a level above Robinson consistenly, but still slightly worse than Thomas

I really don't see him playing next to Bindon and Bindon's starting. Need a bigger lad next to him really.

Think Selles thought Bindon might slot in next to Anel... And things look worse than first thought. So Bindon was given a shot, coz he had no choice. Hopefully the board see we need experience. If all these rumours do actually sign... Then Bindon becomes a healthy back-up. That also opens up options at the back regarding system changes or injuries...
I would like to think our defence would be set for the season if these all sign, then January try tweek other areas.
Thats my wetdream... Soz.

That feels far better than a few days ago. Competition for places, potential to offload JLT and/or RND, and ability to get the young lads experience out on loan without becoming threadbare. I worry it may take time to gel, but happy we are finally trying to address a big problem.
