Casual homophobia....as bad as casual racism
You ought to get out more sod all homophobic in that post, a knob jockey is a prick you must be a snowflake
3m regular listeners in 2018.
A knob jockey isn’t a prick......do a google search
It’s offensive slang for a make homosexual.
Might not seem a big deal but the use of certain words in the English language can have a drip drip effect.

A knob is a prick....what do you think the 'jockey' part actually refers to!?
As I said scooter I'm older and things for you lot have different connotations for me
Fair enough, but im 99.999999999% sure that Knob Jockey has never just meant Prick.
I accept that mate I'm just explaining my interpretation, lot's of things people say these days have different meanings to what I grew up with, I mean there's a saying "sick" which, I understand means good to me it means throwing up Pete.
I don't do homophobia how do you know I'm not gay, instead of making assumptions on someone you've never met.
I know I’ve said it before but intent need to be considered before getting up on a moral high horse when phrases which have entered general lexicon are used but have a dark history.
I don’t believe for a moment that Bypass had any intention of using a homophobic slur, and that phrase has been used as a general insult, ignoring its origins, for many years.
Like calling something which is a it naff “gay” there are lots of these phrases which will now naturally die out, and rightly so. They were wrong then and are wrong now, but let’s save our venom for those that deliberately use them in their original sense rather than to berate or belittle someone who just misspoke.
It’s people that want to give words that much power that are part of the problem.I’m not making any assumptions and certainly don’t mean to criticise you.
Think it’s interesting how “words” can have different meanings to different people
And also how that meaning can change over time or due to fashion have a different meaning.
I’m older as well and I’ve also heard knob jockey used as a general word for an idiot, so someone using it might not have homophobia intentions.
However the roots of changing “knob jockey” to being an idiot ARE homophobic.
It’s a really interesting example of how casual “words” or “phrases” can have so much subtle power.
I know non racist people who accidentally use words or thought processes detrimental to black people.
Are these people racist? In their mind they are not but they use words to create that continuous drip effect.
It’s people that want to give words that much power that are part of the problem.
Who are you calling a queen? There really are some right drama queens on here
Who are you calling a queen?![]()

I don’t think you’re homophobic, but as people have said these words need challenging to make sure the detrimental meaning is stamped out, no room for racism, sexism, homophobia. If these arent challenged then they continue...so that was my polite challenge to you...it’s certainly caused debate.
You're an audiencist you are!3m simpletons then .....
Apologised to sharp today.
Believe me ....... getting an apology from Adrian Durham is harder than beating Man City away 5 0 ..... takes a big man to say sorry. What he says about Arsenal on a daily basis is liable ........ what he said once about Jamie Carragher was one of the best bits of radio ever so for him to do this #hatsoff - pity Billy didn't ring up
i was cross with my self as i actually wanted to say self serving. Although maybe self servicing was more appropriatePretty good effort JB
