Agreed, same team apart from Ohare for Brewster
CW will go,
Cooper
Clark Anel Robbo Burrows
. Souza. Choudhury
BBD. Brewster. Hamer
Cannon
What's happened to Peck ?
I'm not Wilders biggest fan by along way but even i don't think he's that stupid to go with Souza and Choudhury in midfield.

I'd rather Robbo did 20 mins rather than 90 plus
Good point, especially with Stoke on Friday as well, after that it's 8 days before our last game (Blackburn) which is enough time for some players like Holding to have a mini rest.

Sorry forgot I’m a Wednesday fan because my opinions aren’t the same as everyone else’s🤦‍♂️
Haven't you got anything better to do
I mean I think I spend too much time. On here and I'm. Not even pretending to support my local rivals
It must be really unhealthy that that is your escape from reality and how bad that reality must be

Just hope somebody gets him down the tunnel at full time, we don't want fine number 4 or would it be 5.
At this rate we will be paying more in fines than Rohls release clause.
It would be fine number 6 and has cost the club £265,500 so far. Unfortunately if we get to the playoff final we will fall short of the magic 10 !!!

Their defender got a good block in after robbing the other lad on halfway ( he was never going to break away from defenders over that distance), lucky it fell to BBD, but BBD made his own ‘luck’ by busting a gut to get up there.

I’ll have a look at his ‘shocking ball control’ as I thought he did well when he came in.
BBD was behind Moore and running past him, on the replay it looks like Moore is putting the ball across, not shooting himself imo

It’s more to do with the fact that when we are winning you disappear. Never have a single positive thing to say and seem to enjoy criticising everything to do with the club. Not exactly the behaviour of a true blades fan…

I wonder if any manager in the Championship has considered the tactical plan of "snapping into tackles" and "taking the game to them at 100mph"? I ask because no team has won at Burnley all season.
I’m just contrasting our approach to Coventry vs the 3 games since. Play like we gave done in the last 3 and we have no chance, upset their rhythm, get them on the back foot and who knows? It seems to me that managers look at the style of CL top sides and think, based on stats, that is how to win in the modern game. I don’t because, to be effective you have to shift defences around and you do that with high ball speed, movement and laser like passing - something we, like many lower level teams, simply don’t have the quality of players to execute. Result? Teams lose possession but simply let the opposition engage in lateral passing whilst they reset their defensive lines. Call me old fashioned but high intensity, pressure on the ball, getting it wide and into the box as soon as possible will get results as long as you have good enough fitness levels and athleticism in your squad to be able to play that way in phases, getting up and down the pitch in numbers.

I praise when we play well, Coventry game best we’ve played all season, every game since then has been well er… rubbish🤷‍♂️

We'll sit deep, hope they attack us and give the ball away, allowing a counter. If they don't, the times we do get it we'll be extremely cautious in possession. It'll end up at full back a lot with an opposition player closing down. Long ball into the channel or down the line and hope the CF can hold it till one of the 3 AMs can get there to help.

This isn't meant to be critical. This is how we've approached every away game this season and I have no idea why that would change now

Thought it was a pass at the time but it was a shot from Moore, I don't think he saw BBD at first and as the CB was catching up to him, he took a touch and then shot, deflects off of the CB's outstretched foot and is going out for a corner before BBD reaches it.

He'd tried something similar about 10 or so minutes earlier, where Hamer played him through on the edge of the box, he went to shoot across goal but Chambers deflected it out for a corner at the near post.

Tbh, that's what I want to see Cannon do more often, get level with the last man, point where he wants the through ball, race onto it and get his shot away.

I remember 08/09 season and Blackwell trying same tactics in final of play offs that hadn't worked in the two league games.

I get why people ask this question, but there are so many variables to the answer I just don’t think a fan looking at available/better managers should be expected to pick a name out.

The owners and board will know the answers to a lot of questions around player transfer and wage budgets, manager salary/staff budgets, long term vision for the academy/club and then also have contacts with agents around the footballing world who could be sounded out over potential future appointments.

A fan will probably say ‘Steve Cooper’ just because he’s the obvious and available option but there may be dozens of reasons why he wouldn’t/shouldn’t be appointed.
I agree that the Board and others have much better info but it’s not them who are on here suggesting Wilder should go.
If anyone feels that he is not the best available then that conclusion can only be reached by comparison to others: hence my request that alternatives/comparables are identified.

I don’t think Wilder is the best person for the job but I wouldn’t have a clue where to suggest we go as an alternative, there are so many ways we could do things differently in so many different areas of the club.

I think we need a move away from parochialism if we are ever to be anything other than a variation on what we’ve always been.

The world is so much wider than ex-players, fans and people with a Sheffield post code. I don’t profess to be able to tell you ‘who’ it should be but I think a move away from the norm might (not a guarantee!) be a good place to start.

Burnley will be well up for this game a draw will virtually see them promoted, a noisy crowd behind them too so the ultimate test of our teams mentality. We can go there for the win or fold under the occasion, on recent showings I think we will fold as trump says we don't have any cards.

I can’t see anything but 3/4-0 to them. I think they’ll be right at it & up for it. We have a crumble in us & not much resilience to fight back.

The last 4 games have taken all optimism out of me.

My gut feeling is that Wilder is best placed to lead us out of the Championship, but ,like you, I don’t know what better alternatives there are.
Your concept for the future, especially for the PL is one that I would look forward to as something different and potentially exciting.
I also am inquisitive as to what our new owners have in mind and what has motivated them to buy our club.

Didn’t mind the 442 as we don’t have pace to play 4231 but midfield lacks creativity except Hamer, both CB’s aren’t great imo, need a massive overhaul next season use the money we recoup wisely and we should be alright

The money we can get for Anel, Souza and Hamer should be enough to bring in adequate, quality replacements and 2-3 more quality players. I'm not against them going so long as we bring in decent replacements and not waste the money on long term, temporary loans.

Hamer’s our best player ability wise but I won’t miss his discipline for sure, Anel I won’t miss, tbh I want fit players that don’t get injured not like Tom Davies etc
