Anyone who doesn't feel obligated to give Brewster a new contract would be an improvementGenuine question - who do you think we can get that will do a better job?
Or to duck the question by asking another one insteadIt's a huge football world. Perhaps a better question is "Why is Wilder the only person people think can work here"?
You want me to list every manager in the world who could manage a mid sized, provincial club?Or to duck the question by asking another one instead
We will do just thatWe simply can’t allow them to settle into their preferred tempo by letting them have possession and time to pass the ball around
Of course it’s fantasy Trafford plays in goal how’s one of ours going to get near himWe will need to have the right balance because Burnley also know we need to win. So they may think let's just get them on the counter. And I think it works well for them sadly.
But Burnley have to lose sometime. Even if it's not this season they will lose again of course.
To be honest looking at the coverage of their game yesterday they were very fortunate not to go 2-0 down just before they equalised.
And after Watford had a chance to go 2-1 up. Sadly after Burnley went 2-1 up Watford self destructed and went down to 9 men.
We could do with something like Trafford wiping out one of ours in the first half so they concede a pen and go down to 10 men. Also means Trafford misses next 3.
But of course that's just fantasy.
Maybe just one or two who in your opinion could do it better than Wilder in the same circumstances. You want me to list every manager in the world who could manage a mid sized, provincial club?
Any competent Championship level manager could have gotten this team to play to par. He did a good job convincing decent quality Championship players to sign, built a risk averse team that relied on defence to win points and when the defence got worse, could utilise the attacking talent to create more chances. 27 goals in 21 games since Boxing Day.Maybe just one or two who in your opinion could do it better than Wilder in the circumstances
You literally said you hoped for a big loss.Apologies for being so moronic; I’m not hopeful of a big loss but hopeful wilder shows himself up again which will allow the owners to have second thoughts about employing him next season.
I'd accept that and would also agree that his tactics are somewhat negative. Is it just him though?. I don't know the answer to that and unless anyone can read minds and also see and hear what happens between the management team and him I don't think anyone will really know. So rather than a pointless back and forth on managers, I'm happy to say he's played to about par, but it's a huge missed opportunity.
I think it's a combination of Wilder being limited tactically and this being an immature squad, at least in comparison the the first Wilder era teams. I trusted those teams to adapt and figure things out. This group of players is a lot more......off the cuffI'd accept that and would also agree that his tactics are somewhat negative. Getting the best is impossible for us at present and probably will be into the future.I want the best for the club. And wilder isn’t that.
I get why people ask this question, but there are so many variables to the answer I just don’t think a fan looking at available/better managers should be expected to pick a name out.Getting the best is impossible for us at present and probably will be into the future.
If you feel that Wilder should step down who have you in mind who is available and who would be better ?
I don’t run the club so I don’t know. My main point is that this group of players with the quality we’ve got, should be doing better than a lot of the very stale performances we’ve produced this season. That’s down to the manager. No other top champ club would’ve had wilder this season. I still love the bloke for what he did in his first spell but I want us to progress as a football club and don’t think wilder is the man to lead that.Getting the best is impossible for us at present and probably will be into the future.

Fair enough, personally I don't think he will start Moore, but I would start him over Campbell against Burnley as I think Campbell has looked a bit tired in the last few games. Some think Moore will start... do you think Wilder is suicidal?
I would start the same team as yesterday, but maybe O'Hare for Brewster. Diaz is best coming on as a sub.
Agree Robbo must be nowhere near this gameThink they will definitely be at the dark arts stuff to try and get one of ours sent off, that is why we shouldn't play Robinson
But the Burnley game is already lost so it’s irrelevantThat's the spirit.
Just mentioned in the Shoutbox that while auto promotion is not in our own hands any more, taking it to the final day v Blackburn is in our hands. Wins against Burnley and Stoke mean Burnley can't be more than two points clear of us on the final day.
It will be the same tactics we always play.
Slow build up with alot of passing backwards and sideways and rubbish corners.
Wilder will then swap the strikers around on the 65min but by that time we will be losing 2-0.
Monday is just going to be Party time for Burnley.
Agreed, same team apart from Ohare for BrewsterSome think Moore will start... do you think Wilder is suicidal?

Problem is, Robbo is going to play a part in this game.Agree Robbo must be nowhere near this game
I'd rather Robbo did 20 mins rather than 90 plusProblem is, Robbo is going to play a part in this game.
Holding can't do 90 minutes (looked like a bit of cramp after 80+ minutes), and might even do less than 80 minutes so soon after the Cardiff game.
Other than Robbo, our only other options at CB are Gilchrist (not sure what his situation is, whether he's injured again or not) and Jamal Baptiste.
I wouldn't mind seeing Gilchrist come on at CB (if he's on the bench) but it's a big game and a lot to ask for Baptiste, especially as he hasn't played for the first team since Cardiff in the Cup.
