Swiss - here's what you could have won

Yay! Go Micky. We love you. Sorry to see you go! The way Morecombe sliced through Vale's defence got the boys thinking about our pub team performances under you last season! You are a Blade though and no piggy connections.

Piggy Wilson has managed to win almost 3 times as many games as you, but with 10 games less. Still, we'd take you back. Fancy a few pints of lager tomorrow afternoon???

Speak for yourself.

YET another thread with the sole intention of winding up fellow blades
Same two posters ,same old shit

Me, Brownie and Swiss are off to the car park to drink some lager and protest for the reinstatement of Micky Adams. A few of those fine intelectual specimins in the photo above will hopefully be joining us. Anybody saying he is an ale house, pub team manager or owt like that will get braed.

Nice one mic. What's the point of this thread though?

You seem to be implying something based on a 0-4 result for Port Vale.

Looking at the tables we've played 15 with 28 PTS. Vale played 15 with 25 PTS. Perhaps in future you could remind me of these things when vale have, won. It seems a more typical result for them.

Keep up the good work pal :)

Why is there the constant need by two posters to put people into certain groups and then wait for a reaction? I'm guilty as anyone for replying to this thread, but fuck me, it's like being at school. Next time I go out with my mates who drink lager and those that drink real ale, I'll make sure I sit them at two separate tables so that people can see what a faux pas the lager drinkers have made.

Adams was shit and was the sole reason we were relegated. Blackwell or Speed would have kept us up.

I love Micky Adams, i love hoofball and i drink Smoothflow and lager.

I don't know anything about Real Ale, Classic Literature or Left-Wing Politics.

I like going to Car Parks

I wish i was clever as Olly is as he is a lot cleverer than me.

Seems to me the forum these days is used more for getting at other members than anything else.

Pretty sad really.

does that put you in the "Fans Against Getting At Other Members Group" Or F.A.G.A.O.M. for short Sliverfox?
maybe its about time SOME members grew up and lost this infantile mentality.

all in favour please join Fans Against Infantile Mentality or F.A.I.M. for short :D

MunXy

Incedently do you have that picture blown up on your wall ollie?
you trot it out at least once a month, is it theres someone on there caught your attention?
maybe it because you have trouble still understanding some fans felt the need to protest and vent their feelings without doing it sat behind a keyboard.
i have to admit a car crash kind of curiosity as to your reasoning behind keeping that picture handy.

I'm sorry. You point out the obvious truth that the long-ball game was dead and buried years ago; that the Wilson protesters were a bunch of ill-informed amoebas who haven't even the courage to apologise to a great guy and an excellent manager who didn't deserve such poisonous bigotry; that the good Lord wouldn't have made grass if he wanted football to be played in the air; and that's nothing more than baiting other fans?
Yet, perpetuate garbage about Montgomery, Adams, Blacko et al, knowing that some of us will respond by exposing uncomfortable truths, is fine?
Double standards, one might think!

did you quote the right person there pinchy?
i have to admit a smidge of confusion

MunXy

Not really mate, no. It's late and I've been drinking. Just a comment on the notion that those of us with views that sometimes run against the tide express such views just to annoy and bait others. It might have that effect, but it isn't the motivation; not for me, at least.

There is a line here between honestly held views (if misguided ) that are different to others, which may be provokative and confrontational, and just being provokative and confrontational. They are not that hard to tell apart...

Trying to compensate for being hung like a Chinese mouse?

Attention seeking on a par with a four year old that's been fed solely on Skittles for the last fortnight?

A vain attempt at humour?

A genuine belief in everything they say?

Excuse me Pinchy, are you lining yourself up with Mic & Olle here? Fuck me, I've misjudged you all these years....:)

Nonsense as usual Duncs. Me and Swiss get on fine pal - it was just a little friendly dig at him, that's all. If you think I don't have honestly held views about SUFC then so be it but you are way off the mark.

Wrong old boy. Duncan and plenty of others have been calling me nasty things for a long time.

I'm not quite with you Swiss but do you get Kyle in Switzerland?

I mean that you started this thread to have a laugh with me, but then everyone else decides to chuck in their moralistic views of how you can't wind each other up with the banter. Yet I actually laughed my cock off when I read your initial post.

It's a bit of fun, but too many take it too seriously.

Oh yeah we get jezza out here - get itv through SWISS cable

My brothers from the photo should absolutely not be hanging their head in shame. That was a proud moment for Sheffield United football club and what fine specimins and such a wonderful occassion to be shown in the national press! I am sure the Guardian readers were sympathetic to our cause when they saw that photo. Like the bloke on Radio Sheffield said when Wilson was appointed 'Once a pig, always a pig'. The sooner Piggy, Dingle Wilson is out of Bramall Lane the better. What we want is a proper Sheffielder in charge. A United fan like Micky. A dinosaur that can get us hoofing out of this league. Dare I say, but like the pigs themselves. Unfortunately Wednesday are looking more like Wimbeldon in 89 and it pains me and the boys. The Piggies are beating us at our own game. All this tappy tappy nonsense gets on my tits and who is to blame: that pig with the Wednesday tattoo who once said he hated United. 'Love United, Hate Wilson' - I'll drink (some lager) to that!?
