He's worrying me with this. If he thinks things were equal then he needs to go to Specsavers. At least he takes the blame.

He speaks very fast and is, at times, difficult to understand so I'll translate: 'We need to keep going until we win then things will be better " with a few "in these moments " thrown in.

I keep asking this, who told the owners Selles was the man to replace Wilder? They dont know the game, and Wilder left with most of the staff. Who picked RS??
I personally like him and wish him all the best. I just think he has a job on his hands bigger than he's capable of.

Me neither but I was worried when we appointed him. Not seen anything to change that. And let’s be fair, whatever happens he’ll get until 2nd international break.
I'm not sure our owners committee could make a decision that quickly.

“Transition” is a popular one too. Must be in the coaching manual for the pro licence.

If anyone ever gets an interview with the owners this should be question 1

Well, I hardly caught a word of that. Wtf did he actually say??

We were absolutely dire today. The players look deflated, defeated and have no self or collective belief. That is not purely down to not having adequate reinforcements, that's the team not having a fuckin clue what the game plan is or what the manager wants them to do.

Far too early to be calling for Selles out. And it is only fair for him to be given some of his own players before we really hold him to account. However, the signs are certainly not good. You could tell in that interview that he is frustrated and didn't want to talk about the game. We are not daft, we watched the game and saw with our own eyes how shit we were and how unhappy the players were.

Worrying times.

The worst thing about it all is that now our stock is so much lower than it was 6 weeks ago and our choice of managers now has gotten a lot worse. We could’ve potentially gone for a Gary O’Neil, but absolutely no chance of that now

Remember when Hecky used to say 'Listen' all the time? 'Transition' is his buzz word. Apparently, today we were 'structured in transition' whereas last week we weren't. I beg to differ because all I saw from us in transition was low energy, a slowness to react that I haven't seen as bad for years and a complete lack of shape from our players. We jogged and walked our way through 90 minutes. Disgraceful lack of effort today and I'm not sure this bloke is the man to fix it.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

I hate to that person & I’ve ridden the waves of the last five years and from the late 70s.

I was willing to take the chance but right now, the voice in my head says, save face and get Wilder back for the Charlton game.

Let his stabilise the club, maybe beat the pigs in November, do what he can in Jan and kick on from there.

I dread to think of what the board might do otherwise. Like replacing Sirrell with Haslam.

Did he mention Bobby Thomas by name (or was asked specifically about him)?

If last 2 weeks are anything to go by, next press conference will be Thursday (changed from Friday last season) so hopefully he'll have a few players in by then.

But that's 4/5 days before we hear from Selles again, especially at this time of the year when the transfer window starts to rapidly gain traction.

A lengthy period of time where we won't be able to hear from the manager about signings.

if the owners wanted promotion this season which I presume they did then usually owners go & get managers that have been successful in the past.

This job is way above his ability, it different managing a team with no expectations in Reading or a team where they’ve already had a terrible season so a win is a bonus like Hull. We expect to be where we were last season at least
