Christ lads, look at what Robins has done at Coventry. Their board is ten times as bad as ours and their squad is worse/he's had less backing. The football they play looks in a different class to us. Tactically we were completely outclassed last night.

After last nights shambles you have to take a long hard look at getting someone in who will pick the right staring line up and motivate them. Last nights defeat was down to Wilson's line up and tactics even in this pub league you can't play 30 minutes per game and hope to get anything. There is a half decent side for this league at the lane if Wilson was capable of finding it, sadly he isn't last season he was helped by having real quality in the team this year he is being found out.
Will McCabe get rid ? ............................. will he fook as like, Danny is too nice a guy to make waves, just another yes man there like Blackwell was to take the shit when more good players are sold. Danny might be a problem but the cancer that is killing the club is higher up the food chain.
Adkins is a good shout but even if we got "the special one" they would fail due to lack of backing. Managers who can make something out of nothing are in very short supply, Basset's and Warnock's don't come round that often luckily for us we had both in the last 25 year otherwise there would be no success at all.

This is an excellent point. Robins (not one of the greatest) has overcome lack/non existence of money, terrible backing from the board, crowds far less than ours yet they outplay us.

The excuses have run out.

He would perhaps inspire a bit of passion though. I like Wilson but the one thing I don't see much of from his teams is a bit of fire in the belly. Something I've always associated with Blades teams.

True, and we need bit of passion back. But that's not enough.

Passion maybe, but it looks likes fear to me, pass it back, don't take on a defender, afraid to have a shot.

Like rabbits in headlights.

Agree with your every word Metal except I do believe Wilson is much nearer the end than you might think.

Then the midfield looks much better because they have someone in space to pass to.......... Kitson/Porter up front  yer have to wonder about Wilson.

No they looked better because they spent 5 or 10 minutes putting some effort in and made themselves available, rather than jogging behind opposition (Doyle - in the style of Brian Howard) as soon as we won the ball back.

It's all well and good people having a go at Kitson and Porter, but they spent their time flicking on poor long balls from the back because:

A) the defenders had no choice as Midfield were hiding
B) the strikers had no support/no one anticipating as Midfield were hiding

And we've tried all sorts of combo's in the middle.

McDonald / Doyle, Doyle / McDonald, McDonald / Doyle :)

Sadly, the managers lack of ideas is why I've lost faith in him. The football is Robson esque, but nothing changes.

The first time we tried an extra man in midfield(at Donny) many were having a go at DW for trying it. Yes he got it wrong last night in the first half but he could not have expected his main midfield two to abstain from responsibility.

The 2nd half was a lot better and more like what we expect. I hope Forte starts on Tuesday and I hope Doyle is dropped. If Robson isn't fully fit, play him for 60 minutes in there then get Whitehouse on.

Alos, fingers crossed that Hill is fit soon as we have missed him at left back

You can't be serious fella. The default belief should be that our midfield pairing won't show up. How much more evidence does he want?

only a few weeks ago ,just after loss 3
nice to look back at certain off the cuff reactions , when us clappers get accused of rubbing it in when we win , when we try to be reasonable in our reaction , whereas some ...well jump in feet first

Make hay whilst the sun shines fella. As someone who thinks even the turds at BDTBL taste nice, you must have spent a lot of your time actually waiting to be proved right.

Yeah we are a crap team in a garbage league with a manager who is clueless.
You only have to look at where we are in the league.

Oh, ......er.......yeah................SECOND

I take it you were lost when you posted that?

Guys/ Gals

It doesn't matter who plays well who plays badly, how many we score, how many we concede and where we are now in the league.

All that matters is where we are the last day of the season.

When we are in the top two on that day

I don't give a hoot if we have the poorest manager in the world,
The biggest asset stripper in the world (I don't believe this),
The greatest/ worst fans in the world.
The slowest team in the world.

We will playing in a better division that will take all our resources to compete and stay in.
