I didn't think it would be long before you came along. When I commented on clubs apparent lack of interest in targetting Sheffield's student population they all miraculously appeared sitting near you in the South Stand in seats usually occupied by ST holders. Now that I've made a point about the hoops casual supporters have to jump through to get a ticket maybe you're going to tell me they all sit in the empty seats next to the Chinese students in the SS adjacent to you.

A point which other posters confirmed you didn't know what you were talking about. No wonder you're still bitter but you made yourself look daft.

Bottom line is you appear to have tried to get a ticket via the ticket office but couldn't be arsed to bother with registration and adding to the friends and family option.

But it gave you something else to moan about and as you say, left the club £30 lighter. Win - win for you I'd have thought.

When I suggested the club make a bigger effort to attract some of the 40k students to the Lane you retorted that they attend in plenty, actually quite near to you, the same ones regularly. I've already debunked that as you sit in the central area of the SS where its season ticket holders only and spare tickets are not doled out to groups of students in this area of the ground. They were a product of your imagination in a feeble attempt to start one of your stupid arguments and it bombed spectacularly. Me looking daft? FFS.

I said on the previous post I didn't have the guys postcode on hand. Try another trolling tactic or learn to read. I've a feeling which one you'll go for.
I have just registered my daughter, using my address rather than her Spanish one. No problem at all. Not sure why you are getting so upset about it.
Thanks Sean Thornton, that was easy.

Rewriting history again.

You said only a "handful" of students attended - a statement proved incorrect by others. Clearly nonsense. How would you know?

I never said regularly. Fib number 1

Fib number 2 is your "debunking" Where did I say I sat in the central area? You don't know where exactly I sit, but decide its in a sold out section . So despite not knowing where I am you claim there aren't any POTD tickets available near me. Again, how would you know. The answer is you don't .

You can't. "Jump through hoops" to get a ticket but you clearly spend time analysing the seating options. Is this just in the South or across all four stands?

Some may call bullshit on your ticket for Wigan claims, particularly as you only mentioned it after the game and couldn't find anything else to moan about. Not me though, I'll leave that nonsense to you.

So you're a long standing ST holder in the SS and sit in the corner where the empty seats are? Yeah right. You sit in the central blocks which are 99% ST holders and 0% Chinese students. Stop kidding yourself.

I never cited the Wigan game at all, it was earlier in the season and I first mentioned this subject ages ago. You're making stuff up again.

The simple facts of the matter are if you're an unregistered casual fan or an out of town visitor then someone will not be able to buy you a ticket unless they have your personal details at hand. Which I didn't and was refused a ticket even though I am registered as a ST holder.

Why are you and others getting so upset when I reiterate this?

We’ve just scored 4, Billy’s bagged a hattrick, beat another good side and we’re top of the league. Again.

Why the fuck are people flooding out the gangways 10 minutes before the whistle?

Unless 4 thousand people just got their houses robbed and have to rush home, I fail to see how taking 30 seconds of your time to support the team that just took us to the top is a massive inconvenience to you.

It baffles me, it’s not hard to wait a minute after the game and clap the players. It takes more energy to walk up flights of stairs to the exit.
I agree. What is almost as bad to me is the race for the concourse 10 minutes before half time. I don't know if it is to get to the toilets or the bar but yesterday, after Wigan scored their first, there seemed to be a mass exodus and there must have been a few hundred missed our second goal. Couple this with the numbers who get to their seats after the start of the match and/or the second half, there can't be a great percenatge left who actually see full game. Also, I had two youngsters next to me who never applauded or shouted but sat eating giant bags of crisps etc for most to the game and seemed very uninterested. At least the club got some money from the ticket sales even if it got no vocal support from them.

So now I sit in the corners :)

Does the central area now start at gangway B and go through to G to suit your argument?

You have no idea where I sit nor how many POTD seats are around me - different people must be sharing an ST eh? - and unless you know those details you have to be talking bollocks ( you are, there's no doubt) yet you insist on trotting out your illogical arguments, ignoring third parties comments. I 'll leave it with you as there's no discussion to be had with someone who believes being asked to provide a post code means they have to grovel. As you've seen, it takes a minute. Less time than it takes to write a post on here complaining about it as if you have to take an exam to get on the system.

No ones upset. You're exaggerating time and time again. It's that simple.

Are you really that thick it cannot sink in no matter how many times I repeat myself? I didn't have the fucking postcode, that was the issue. I was at the ticket office not in front of a laptop. You should be able to read that several times in less than a minute but I still don't think you'd get it.

And no, you don't sit in the corner, I was mocking you but that went straight over the top of your head as usual.

Phoning him up to ask ?

Aah, ticket office. Is that when you got your copy of the seating plan showing the seats not held by season tickets? And I bet you slammed the door on the way out.....

You were shown to be wrong about students, wrong about Chinese attending, wrong about where I sit, wrong about every seat near me being an ST seat ( all based on absolutely nothing outside of your own head) and wrong about having to jump through hoops. If you didn't make things up it wouldn't happen.

"Can I have a post code Sir"

Don't think so. Its a market United haven't even begun to tap in to. As I said before, there's 40k of them in the vicinity and there's no evidence of them attending in any significant numbers. Apart from your ridiculous assertion they all sit next to you. You're just a WUM.

I never understand why the same people leave early every game, like I don't understand why people but a season ticket to arrive ten minutes late, leave 5 minutes before half time, return 5-10 minutes after half time, and then leave early irrespective of the score.

That said it's their choice.

Like death and taxes, you can rely on the same people to bash the club at the first sign of bad results, you can rely on the same people to bash the fans at the first sign of good results.

You seem to have edited the bit in my post about having the gumption to phone your mate for his phone number.....

Lat comment because either there's something wrong with you or you're very bitter about being proved wrong.

I said, in your ridiculous assertion that only a handful went ( another poster disproved this) and none of them were Chinese, again, disproved.

Some Students did attend. Including a couple of Chinese as they have sat near me.

I never said significant numbers, nor regularly. You've made that up. Like you've made up where I sit and the claim that there are no groups of POTD seats available in the SS.

You accused someone of saying you were lying but that's all you've done. There's no. "Evidence" anywhere that your assertions are even remotely near the truth.

Everything is " above your head" or "are you thick". Puss taking is one thing - Bill Johnsons "Chinatown" comment was very funny - but you're so far removed from reality on this thread that you should slink away like you have before, stop telling fucking lies and leave it be.

As I said before that’s just not true. On Friday morning I bought 2 tickets on my account with no problems whatsoever.

It’s cringeworthy, and an embarrasment to the club.

It’s widespread throughout football now, too many consumers, ever fewer real fanatics.
Nope it’s not just today it’s always been like it. Remember as a kid me Dad saying come on we’ll get a seat on the first tram special ( For the youngsters the trams were parked right in Shoreham Street right outside the Kop ) LOL

This isn’t a defence of those who leave early, but as a season ticket holder on the Kop it has always struck me how difficult it is to leave quickly after the match. This is down to the large amounts of people using narrow exits, coupled with those impatient arseholes who jump over rows of seats to force their way to the front of the exit queue. It’s not the easiest of places to get out of in a hurry.

Discussions like this are boring enough as it is. When it descends into a 1v1 personal argument “you said this, I said that, I’ll quote you on it,” the post becomes unbearable.

It would be good if the forum had a “1v1” button, so that when a discussion descends into this type of thing, it can be done in private because it’s BORING AS FUCK.

People have always left early, but I have no doubt that it’s a rapidly growing phenomenon.

Even in the close games that have really tense finishes, people are leaving in droves. It wasn’t always like that.

Aside from the debate about their shit support, I’m astounded that people choose miss the crucial ends. It seems no different to leaving the cinema before the film has finished.

But what football fan in his right mind would ever think for a second that he's going to get out of the ground 'quickly' ?
Surely it's part of the mind-set?
Big game, big crowd, arrive a bit earlier, take a bit longer to get in, mooch around at the end waiting to get out.
I got the hang of it after about 3 games and it's been the same for the 3,003 since! ;)

I agree, but the design of the Kop doesn’t allow for a quick exit. So if you leave after the final whistle you get a slow exit. That of course means by the time I get to the Beer Engine silverfox has usually got a pint waiting for me, so it’s not entirely without it’s merits. :D

We've been all over the place with the "leave early, don't leave early" row (discussion?). I get that some people have to come in a car, they may have no alternative, so "leaving early" because of the traffic is a good option (perhaps) for them. But too many people seem averse to using their legs, and, God forbid, public transport!!!!! I used to live in Intake, and have lived between Barnsley and Penistone for a few years now. Doing either in a car, which I do (or did) VERY occasionally, is an awful waste of time and limits beer time, which I rather like with my football. My usual routine involves getting on a train about 12.50 and partaking of my first pint about 1.35 in the Tap or the Rutland (RIP Sentinel). In the ground for kick off, clap (or otherwise) the team off. NEVER leave early. Usually in the Tap for about 5.05, this leaves time for a relaxed pint (or a swift two!). On the train at 5.35, in the house for 6.20. Obviously later trains are available, should further evening entertainment be on the cards! Evening games are no more difficult, better actually as it usually means 45 minutes in the pub after rather than 30, then the last train. Still home for 11.20. It was even easier when I lived in Intake!!!!! Leaving early is everyone's right, and we still live in a free society. Some people will have good and necessary reasons to leave early. But I don't get the hoards who do it every week, the same people, with the same crap "traffic" excuse. If you want to avoid the traffic, don't be part of it. Be creative, use your time better, stay till the end, and just chuffin chill out and enjoy it more. I'm slightly struggling at the moment with the Northern train strike, but there are ways and means of getting there and back without the dreaded "traffic"!!
