That extra 10 mins can be expensive and I don't get my tea until after 8 o'clock.

Fair point about cost, not something that people think about I bet.

Know what you mean about your tea though. If I have to wait 24 minutes I get an extended stomach and flies round my eyes as well..

:)

We've been all over the place with the "leave early, don't leave early" row (discussion?). I get that some people have to come in a car, they may have no alternative, so "leaving early" because of the traffic is a good option (perhaps) for them. But too many people seem averse to using their legs, and, God forbid, public transport!!!!! I used to live in Intake, and have lived between Barnsley and Penistone for a few years now. Doing either in a car, which I do (or did) VERY occasionally, is an awful waste of time and limits beer time, which I rather like with my football. My usual routine involves getting on a train about 12.50 and partaking of my first pint about 1.35 in the Tap or the Rutland (RIP Sentinel). In the ground for kick off, clap (or otherwise) the team off. NEVER leave early. Usually in the Tap for about 5.05, this leaves time for a relaxed pint (or a swift two!). On the train at 5.35, in the house for 6.20. Obviously later trains are available, should further evening entertainment be on the cards! Evening games are no more difficult, better actually as it usually means 45 minutes in the pub after rather than 30, then the last train. Still home for 11.20. It was even easier when I lived in Intake!!!!! Leaving early is everyone's right, and we still live in a free society. Some people will have good and necessary reasons to leave early. But I don't get the hoards who do it every week, the same people, with the same crap "traffic" excuse. If you want to avoid the traffic, don't be part of it. Be creative, use your time better, stay till the end, and just chuffin chill out and enjoy it more. I'm slightly struggling at the moment with the Northern train strike, but there are ways and means of getting there and back without the dreaded "traffic"!!
I would wager a large number of those leaving early are doing so to catch public transport at its set time.

At least that explains the circling vultures every other Saturday

Don’t get this obsession about people leaving early, but when the subject comes up, no one ever mentions the ones who must fit one last pre match pint in. Consequently, not arriving until five or ten minutes into the first half, making everybody around them get up as they apologetically shuffle to their seat as though their late arrival was a fucking accident.

What’s more, they’re not there to welcome the players onto the pitch, applaud and motivate them for the game ahead nor stir their emotions with a rousing rendition of the GCB  But it would seem that’s ok, they get a free pass, as do the twats who leave their seat after 40 minutes to get a few bottles of Carlsberg and then come back 5 minutes into the second half.

Not a problem, but whatever you do, FFS make sure you’re there for the final whistle.

Spot on.

You must sit near me. Two lots of blokes non stop on Saturday. Ridiculous.

(Not Chinese students before seating plan Snooty pipes up)

TBF we've all been PC'd now, no shouting, swearing, chanting of oppositions defaults (pc). We as Men have been well and truly silenced. We will not move away from this, in fact it will only become worse.
Ramsay attempted yesterday to say the Kick it out campaign is against foul language and abuse .
It's against racism, but the powers at the Lane want to confuse the issue.
If you sweat, it means you are a racist.
Really... fuck off Jürgen.

No you don't! I was just using that as an example. When my daughter came over from Spain, I phoned the ticket office and explained she lived in Spain, why she wasn't on the data base and that she wanted to attend with her mother, father, sister and son as a family day out and she got a ticket. Depends how much you want a ticket.

I tried doing that for the Villa game as I needed four tickets for family. I was met with a point-blank refusal. I pointed out I'd been a Blade for 40 years and previously an s/t holder but the woman I spoke to wouldn't budge. Called back a while later, and spoke to someone more sympathetic. He let me name four foreign-based Blades on the database who I knew wouldn't be attending, and I got the tickets that way. They need to use common sense sometimes, though I guess there have been incidences of Blades buying tickets for away fans.

You seem to have edited the bit in my post about having the gumption to phone your mate for his phone number.....

Eh? You're getting yourself in a tizz again.

stop telling fucking lies and leave it be.

You'll get yourself a ban if you carry on like that. You'll be threatening to scratch my eyes out next. Grow up.

Corroboration at last, thank you. I was refused in the ticket office in the same manner as you. Yet according to Sean Thornton I'm a "fucking liar".

You've just done it again. That doesn't corroborate your story at all. You said they wouldn't do anything without a postcode. Not that they refused point blank. They must have been going through the motions with you to ask for a post code. How is that a point blank refusal? It sounded like the issue wasn't completed because you kicked off. Seeing as postcodes are easily checkable on computers to verify an address , your mate missed the game because of your temper.

You've told lies when pretending l had made certain claims. I stand by that. Not about your ticket buying story. As you well know. But yet again I'll ask you to provide a link where I've said you're a liar about trying to get your mate a ticket. And yet again you'll not bother. It's a recurring theme.

You put "fucking liar" in quotation marks. You do understand the significance of that don't you?

You need to remember what you've said.

I think you need help.

I think you need help.

You do. You edited out the bit where DKC solved the issue. Something apparently beyond your capability. As I said, you can't help yourself, it comes that easily to you.

Chat shit, no links.......

Don’t slag off the fans that actually turn up to the games for fuck sake. Slag off the cunts you leave behind in the boozer.

Irrelevant. He was on the phone and spoke to a different person second time around. I was in person - so do I walk around the block and go to a different desk. Your'e going to inordinate lengths to try and make me out a liar on this but your obsession in doing so is only making yourself look like some kind of weirdo stalker. As I said, you need help.

Again you've ignored what I said.....

I'm out. Let's see who follows who around the forum making up fake quotes.

I think that's a good idea before you go into meltdown and get yourself another ban. And maybe reconsider trolling certain posters when they make a perfectly valid post about the obstacles in the way of buying tickets for casual fans or suggesting that the club could make a better fist of attracting some of the 40k students who live on the doorstep. That's where it all started if you care to backtrack.

I've never had a ban. Proving my point that you and the truth are often strangers. Why do you do it?

Feel free to ignore the facts again.

I think being an active member on a forum like this can skew your perception of what our support is like on the whole. The average poster on here cares a lot more about United than the average fan inside Bramall Lane on any given Saturday. We underestimate just what percentage of our fans aren't that interested, come along with family, get cheap tickets etc etc. They will come along and watch us play but won't follow every twist and turn at the club like posters on here might.

Ah I get it, so "I'm out" only means that if you have the last word.

If you're going to lie about me I'm going to point it out.
So you have it after you admit your comment about a ban was wrong. If you can bring yourself to do it. Or you can stick to your Jackanory existence. Whichever, it's up to you Billy.

I was referring to the meltdowns you had when you called other posters "cunts" which I thought led to an automatic ban. Maybe you got away with it. Lucky you.
