I predict quite a close game...about 40 miles I reckon.
Score-wise, I think you'll thrash us.

Could be a good 'un on Sunday.

However it turns out, you might be fancying a drink.

Here's a bit of Public Service info for those who are out for a swill; all within walking distance from the ground:

Chin chin.

Or, of course, a curry:

Cheers. Always wanted to visit Mumtaz, I've heard they do the finest mango lassi known to mankind. Although I'll probably need something stronger if the game turns out like I think it will.

Mumtaz is pretty good food. Don't think you'll be disappointed if you do go there. Look out for the koi carp* swimming in the indoor pond.

* not on the menu

They do a cracking curry but it is a bit more bling than more central places.

If I was coming to town for the match and thinking of convenience, it'd be a couple of pints at the Sparrow then a wander to the Sweet Centre; all walkable from the ground.

Used to take clients to Mumtaz but for a real curry the place to go was the Karachi. Two terraced houses knocked together behind the National Cinima Muesium. No knives and forks in those days, occasional table cloth but food to die for. But that was 15 years ago, it's still there

We went downstairs in the Kashmir last year... tenner a head for three of us, including drinks, starters, mains, breads etc...

Was full for about two months afterwards :D

Not sure where we're going this year yet, but the plan is to nip somewhere post match.

A stones throw away is the International which, in my view, beats 'em both.

Not quite as old as the Kash or Karachi but not far off, with food as good if not better than both, & similarly priced. Maybe a quid or two more, max.

Not been there yet. Might give it a try.

You might mean Kashmir, unless Karachi (round the corner) has a downstairs I didn't know about?

Both old school joints, my preference of the 2 is Kashmir, but a stones throw away is the International which, in my view, beats 'em both.

Was definitely the Kash, just had a quick look at photos online and google streetview.... Looked closed but the door was unlocked and went downstairs.

Went to the Wetherspoons down the road afterwards and it's the first time in my life I've stood at a bar debating whether or not I can face a pint :D

Think it's likely either to be back there to the tried and tested, or perhaps we'll look for the International.

That said, we may need to stay a little closer to the ground this year, for logistics reasons :)

We were a tad let down when we went but it is good, no nonsense grub at give-away prices.

(Nearer the ground & of a similar price & nature: Sweet Centre, Westgate, Sheesh Mehal, K2.)

Apologies - I misread your post as going downstairs in Karachi. Yep - downstairs at Kashmir is 'the place to be'...!

If you go there - or International over the road and up a bit - give Delius a go for a pint.

A 3 min walk up the road, & right onto Claremont - opp direction to Wetherspoons.

Great, thanks for the tips :)

Pakeezah is a supermarket that also has a couple of 'Food 2 Go' places. One is between the ground and the bars of North Parade. 5 mins from either.

More a curry cafe than restaurant but not heard a bad thing about it.

We'll beat Bradford easily. we're a club with expertise in papering up the cracks.

Did I miss this? When did Rooney sign for Bradford?

Shocking turn out, only 1,300 sold. You boys have no problem turning up when your winning every week but no shows when you lose a few.

Maybe not as big as you like to think.

I might initially have given you the benefit of being intelligent and told you to rearrange OFF and FUCK - but the last post has made me reassess,so just FUCK OFF - nice and easy for you.

Just saying...would be interesting to see how low Sheffield United would go if they weren't contesting for promotion every year. 13,000 at home is my guess....
