As I suspect we have to sell before we buy. the timings may be determined by other clubs rather than ourselves.
I've never heard a manager say anything other than they want business done early , it just doesn't always work like that and if it doesn't its because thier hands are tied.

I'm not bothered if a good chunk of our business has to wait until late August but we must get some key signings done in time for pre season
