I think that sums it up perfectly, as I see it, just far more eloquently. I think the CM position can be covered like you say, I judg wonder if we need that added quality starter, the Souza replacement. I'd like to think we can get 12ish appearances out of Davies? His quality is clear when he plays.

That's a really good point.

I know what you mean, radio I guess we couldn't be in a much worse/harder starting point than last season though, TBF 😆
Which highlights what a good Wilder was doing

Because Cannon, Moore and Oné scored 7 goals between them for us last season and we need a more reliable plan B. We're one Campbell injury away from disaster.
That was largely due to our slow, predictable static attacking play and shutting up shop once we took the lead, starving the front line of service, most of whom played up top on their own.

Sincerely hope a strong defensive centre mid is on our list!!!!!!! if York City, can ping it over us, dread to think what top championship sides will do. Hope Selles, does not suffer "Wilder", blindness, when everyone can see the problem bar him.

That definitely didn't help - but it also didn't stop Campbell from having one of the best goals per 90 in the league. I'd rather not gamble the season on whether Selles can or can't get a miracle out of Cannon.

Campbell and goals per 90 in the same sentence!?! 🤣🤣🤣

I know what you mean though.

It's been one game. Give them man a chance.

I think it very unlikely we’ll be getting another striker unless, say, Moore goes.

If playing one striker I'd agree with that Nick as we have four. Just hope we have enough goals away from relying on Campbell.
I suspect it depends on how we're playing. If Cannon or One is on the left then we might need another but I doubt it myself unless someone leaves or One goes out on loan.

If the lad from Braga is coming in then hopefully attention will shift towards a CB and a RB hopefully as permanent transfers as we are light on contracted senior players in those positions.

After that maybe another bonus loan for an ambitious target with the type of quality we couldn’t otherwise bring in through other means in a similar profile to MGW and McAtee in previous seasons.

That would probably be us done then unless there are any further outgoings of starting players. Depending on the quality of the CB and RB you’d like to think we couldn’t otherwise bring have a decent crack at it again

L
(As in first teamers signed)

CB Bindon
LW Barry

Reckon we still need..

RB
CB
CM
RW
ST

Can’t see a striker and presumably the young lad from Portugal is the CDM - we’d need a back up like a Choudhary again though.

I’d like to see some quality with a bit more wool on the back in the RW and CB, even if it’s a loan. A Manor Solomon type out wide would be an aappropriate addition and provide a proven, quality match winner. I’d look for a centre half of the calibre of Souttar. That level of player. RB needs to be someone who can come in and excel as Siriki hasn’t show he can consistently play a full season.

Imagine if we sold Anel and could use the money to get Hughes? That would be a great bit of business.

That was meant to be Hughes (Charlie) at Hull. for some unknown reason the Burnley left back jumped into my brain.
Gotcha 😂, agreed on that then it would be good bit of business if we could pull it off.

Long term replacement who's more dominant, with an upward trajectory.

Is Hughes a clear upgrade on Anel? I’ve not watched anything of Hull apart from against us, so not got a view -interested to hear from those who have seen more of him.

Different strengths. Anel is a better player at the moment but then we'd lose him at the end of the season for nothing. Hughes has the potential to be better, imo.
