Another Bendoni rumour from Thursday morning, but looks like there wasn’t anything in it
I think that he has signed Midtjylland in Denmark for £5m, which is a big investment for a Danish club. Surprised that no one in UK bought him but maybe he wanted regular football, a chance of winning something and a few European games

I know it's the player aswell as the club but alot free agents seem to sign for clubs when the seasons started. Ings and Mee for example.

Surely a full pre season is beneficial for every party so they're upto match fitness?

CB 1: Tanganga ✅
CB 2: Godfrey ✅
CB 3: Mee
RB: Woo
CDM/CM: ?
RW: Redmond
ST: Ings ✅

I'm bored so forgive me , IMHO I still like 4-2-3-1 , 3 across the middle under selles is fine if you have midfielders who's mentality can switch from defence to attack and vice versa and ATM the best 2 we have in tom and Ollie are injured .
We need to sign mee as that would finish the back 4 options
RB seriki, Godfrey
RCB Tanganga, bindon
LCB Mee,Z
LB burrows, McCallum

We need 2 CDM,s ATM all we have is soumare ( wonder if Christian Ericson fancies a project 🤣)

So straight maths says we’re back to just two down. If Robbo goes, Mee comes in.

If we do sign Woo, then this could suggest alternative plans for Godfrey other than right back though it gives us that additional centre back we were more keen on having.

You can argue the forward might be more of a winger than Brewster. Would still happily take that extra DM unless Godfrey is seen as a 100% Choudhury replacement.

Some decent steps, let’s not fall short now.

There's a reason why they don't have clubs....

It's a bit like when you are a kid having a big kick about on the local rec. The same kids are always the last picks.

I'm still completely at a loss as to what our transfer strategy for the summer was. Every player we sign or have been linked to has a completely different profile. What a shambles of a window - again. Maybe not quite as bad as the Berge/Ndiaye omnishambles, but still a catastrophe. Which seems to be the norm with this club.

So far we've signed 8 players and 2 development signings.

We're probably going to sign 3 more at least. (Ogbene, Matos and Mee)

Fair to say the strategy had changed because I remember Selles saying we wouldn't sign loads of players in June.

Tanganga, McGuinness and Ogbene are excellent signings - very capable Championship players. I’d go as far as saying we’ll have one of the best centre back pairing in the league. With a top keeper behind them we have a platform to build from.

The big problem we now have is a manager who was hung out to dry by the owners and now has a huge challenge to win the fans back over - and probably a few of the players too. I haven’t seen enough of Matos to know what he brings and CM remains a concern. All that said, with the right manager, we should be very competitive in what looks like being the most open Championship in years.

Undisclosed fees don't help but I wonder how much we've actually spent on transfer fees compared to sales? Got to be close to breaking even?

Glad someone's done a list as I've now lost track of who's come in and who's gone out.

That's a heck of a lot of player churn in one transfer window, but I suppose with all the players going out which includes players going back who were on loan to us (your outgoing list doesn't include those, but does include incoming loans?) then it was inevitable.

Truth be told, it is far from ideal the number of changes made. We almost need a pretty season to try and get the players knowing each other and to allow Selles (or anyone else for that matter) and opportunity to work with everyone and try and pick a formation that suits our squad and best players. Though so far, RS has failed miserably on that front.

I can't help but feel that the board have to an extent, panicked after seeing our start and loosened the purse strings and reviewed the recruitment process to remove barriers. Credit where its due for that, but that doesn't take away the fact that mistakes have been made here this summer with the initial slowness of everything. You cannot put a new manager in place, kick out the old guard backroom staff, then only bring in 3 young lads with no previous Championship experience between them (Bindon, Barry and Soumare) and expect it all to go swimmingly. In short, weve done our best to give others a head start all whilst putting an inexperienced novice head coach/manager under pressure though hes not helping himself at all atm.

I'm torn now with Selles. Part of me wants to see him given these 2 weeks now to work with the new players, but it has to be so much better against Ipswich in performance if not end result. He has to recognise clear errors he keeps making and change it now. Or hes out the door and he'll deserve it.

Looks like you missed Christian Nwachukwu from the incomings list. So just 15 incoming players then. Will take some bedding in but it needs to click quickly. I'd take em all away to Benidorm for the week on a get to know each other quickly exercise. Mind you they'd probably all get locked up for the week and each spend it in solitary confinement the useless sods.
