Summats happening

Weirdly, it was the other way round for Martin Green. He resigned from Blades Leisure but remained on the SUFC board.

It is all very strange especially if as you say both Boards meet at the same time.

I’ve been doing some rooting around on the club structure and I hadn’t realised on the property side separate companies were created in October for Sheffield United Bramall Lane, Sheffield United Shirecliffe and Sheffield United Developments. These presumably are spun out of Sheffield United Limited which still exists. Kev is still on SU limited Board but not any of the others (Scott and Simon are).

Now call me suspicious but why do that unless they could be sold separately? Anyone else aware of this and why it was done?

May be summat or nowt but it looks like advanced planning.

If only we knew who owned the freehold :)

You missed Sheffield United Holdings. Ltd . Which is more interesting.

There were a few other companies all related to real estate but I couldn't find anything substantial about their operations.

What's your view on what Sheffield United Holdings might be used for ? That Sheffield United Limited couldn't already do ?

Think Foxy needs to get involved in this.
Only ever had one "User" on IGNORE. This thread would have joined plenty of others that would have been ignored should such an option be available. Make it happen please, nay PRETTY please!!!!

Maybe it'll be tomorrow....or the day after.......or over the weekend, finger's crossed chaps.
Yeh right. We're blades from birth or shortly after. We've been used to years of eternal pessimism!!. Don't get me wrong I'd welcome new investment bur won't hold my breath! In wilder we trust. Utb

Could it be used as a mechanism to own other clubs? Like what City Football Group does for Man City?

It's not so much new investment that concerns me, although of course we're in need of substantial chunks of dosh, but what a new owner's intentions are for the club long-term.

SU Holdings is a subsidiary of SU Limited which owns the ground, Shirecliffe etc, so it's all about the physical assets. So I can't see it being related to owning other clubs. Wouldn't Blades Leisure do that sort of thing ?

We're all guessing!

I hope Wilder likes this stuff .......

I totally agree. There is no real proof that a new investor is coming in. This rumour has done the rounds before so forgive me for being sceptical!!.

I'm not about to dredge 13 pages of this. What's happening?

Nothing as yet. A friend of CW's tweeted a cryptic tweet yesterday, hinting at changes at BDTBL relating to the ownership structure this week and to 'watch this space'. There then followed 13 pages of speculation. KM is giving a talk tonight at the Octagon and may or may not discuss such things. :)

Well you can't use "holdings" in a name anymore unless it is actually a holding company.
SUL owns Holdings, Holdings owns Real Estate and although I've only checked the SUBL company Real Estate I expect will own the others.

As SUL limited is controlled ultimately by KMc I'd expect it to go eventually or be swallowed up by the Scarborough Group. It's in negative equity so the shares are worthless although some property experts on here will claim the ground is worth £100m or so as land.

Of course this will be another case of stealing the assets. From himself.

And a tax fiddle. Yada yada yada.

Apologies for being stupid, but what is the advantage of this? You referred to it as 'interesting', why?

OK, I thought SU Limited must disappear at some point. SU Holdings must then take the 50% ownership of Blades Leisure and thus SUFC.

May just be shuffling at the moment but who knows if any significant is imminent.

You'd have to askKevin McCabe but sitting the ground and Shirecliffe could be about a sale of one, rental of another. Any risk from future property developments are also removed from existing real estate.

Please note stalker, this is an opinion, not a factual claim. Put the lube, tissues and lie box away.

Been working and don’t want to sift through 14 pages, can someone give me a summary of what’s happened/happening?

Cheers. I note the BDTBL/Shirecliffe comment, but it might be something as benign as a mechanism for dealing with any risk associated with the upcoming development of the kop/south stand corner?
