Wilder being grumpy about a lack of funding was trailed on here about a month ago, along with problems in the boardroom.
Wouldn't be United if we couldn't find a way to derail progress.

People who are "well meaning" are not the types to have the multi-billion pound bank accounts that is needed to provide Championship winning backing.
That's just nit picking. I meant a new owner can have the best of intentions but still get it wrong by being naive. There's plenty of examples of those types of owners.

I do like to pick a nit. But the wider point I was trying to make was that the people who control the sort of money that is actually needed to make a go at the PL are mostly more interested in making even more money, rather than having good footballing intentions.

The Prince hasn't invested what McCabe expected, and McCabe would like to see the back of him, not the other way around.

We are in trouble if the deal goes the other way.

Where has this come from alcoblade?
My information is the direct opposite.
Possibly true to say that no one other than an obvious select few have any real idea of the facts.
But one thing is obvious to one and all:——- Wilder must be backed to control what he wants to do within the limitations of his budget and that anyone brought in must work for the benefit of the club.

You can't make money in football without getting the football right. Unfortunately a lot of these owners don't know how to do that and get taken for a ride. Others have more sinister intentions, I'm not naming any because I don't want to get sued, although a good example may be what happened in Brighton.

As trailed about a month ago, this time the indications are that it isn't McCabe that's the issue.

they are mostly criminals but that's different story :)

It's not happened yet has it?

I said on that thread you posted the story on a regular basis and that you kept claiming McCabe said think Liverpool. Not that you were 100% wrong.
Stop wriggling ;)

Stop wriggling ;)

Facts dear boy facts. It didn't happen on the earlier occasions you brought it up did it? :)
I hope it's McCabe that's found the investor, otherwise we'll need a new manager.

I can't be arsed to recheck my posts (I leave that to you :)) but I think my call has always been IF it happens it will happen like it did with HRH, after the transfer window so no investment forthcoming just risk sharing.

If not now in the summer?

Phew. Glad to hear its on hold again B56 :)

Your OP was full of ifs, was's , reckons and my aunties bollocks. Now it's upgraded to UTK status. I think you're just trying to wind me up :)

We'll probably get took over by someone from the only country in the world where Blue is the good luck colour!

If they are giving the Lane a silly chinese sponsorship name we'd better at least get electronic perimeter thingies (and advertise taxi and drink companies that are actually real!)

Not trying S ;)

Edit, you've got to admit, spooky, reyt call!

I have often wondered why we haven't, in the past, attracted more interest from rich business people. Great stadium, great support, town centre location, history etc. There does seem to be a plethora of people from outside the UK buying clubs, eg Barnsley, currently. We must be an attractive proposition, especially given our current position. I suppose we will eventually attract someone. The issue, as you all know, is where that interest comes from. My worst case scenario would be a consortium, including ex professionals. It would mean the end of CW and possibly, long term, the end of the club as we know it. Sunderland's problems all started after a similar scenario.

This whole thing could be something and nothing, no one should worry about anything until it happens, its not like anyone on here can change anything anyhow.

The twitter comment could just be with regards to a non significant board member, who supports chris, that is now leaving, nothing more. I dont get why everyone has just assumed its either HRH or KM - there is zero evidence to support this to be the case.
