Why anybody would turn up at these events I don't know.
I did it once and never again.
You sit there listening to embarrassing squirming bullshit, drivel and complete amateurism, all the time getting more and more pissed and then you go home.
You wake up next morning and United are still shit and remain shit for several months and then we have another fans forum to "sort things out".

It's pathetic
I do also question the point of these things. Fans have been expressing disapproval of the way the club chooses to operate for years, and progressively so as the time has gone on. It's not like everything is just going to immediately change because a few more tell them at a bit of a "do". If anything it's a bit of a shifty way to try and get more acceptance out of the supporters for their own inadequacy.

Have you considered going along and not getting pissed?

Before the fans forum tonight we are an average third division football team and when it finishes we still will be.

Does anyone else spot the irony that in the last 6-7 years, in our longest spell out of the top 2 leagues we've had more of these 'forums' than the previous 119 years or so of our history?

Can somebody please stand up and say the following:

The general consensus is that the fans are unhappy at the way the club is run. We have been for many years but it's been going on for so long now that we have come to accept it. So, Kevin please can you pat us all on the heads and send us off home with loads more bull shit answers about what you are going to do to make it right. We can the sleep better at night knowing we have been lied to once again, but they were nice lies so that's ok. We won't do anything about it next season or the season after or the season after that.

Will somebody please ask him if we can have our ground back ? Thanks
That reminds me, although it'd be a pointless question to ask as it wouldn't get answered - I'd like to know why the ground is under SU Ltd and not SUFC Ltd and BL Ltd. Given that the Prince has bought in to BL Ltd.

Because the Prince hasn't bought any part of the ground. It's that simple and Kev would take great pleasure in handling that one.

Although he owns 50% of BL Ltd and technically does own half the club, he isn't realistically a 50% stakeholder in the club as a whole then is he? Certainly not while the ground is under SU Ltd and nothing to do with him.

He is. The club doesn't own the ground, that's all.

I'm sure he knows what he signed up for.

I'm sure he does. Although he does own half of the "club", in the grand scheme of things, with the ground under SU Ltd and nothing to do with him, McCabe holds all the aces. I'm just wondering why that needs to be the case in what was passed off as a 50/50 relationship. In reality, that isn't what it is. A club is bugger all without a ground.

Thats why he only paid £1 for his share if it were to include the ground he would have had to pay considerably more
This was made very clear from the outset

By no means am I a fan of McCabe, particularly over the last 10 years but remember McDonald, we would be in oblivion with him! This is just purgatory!

I'm going tonight and will be interested to see what McCabe thinks of future of academy, long term Board structure including Phipps, and also budgeting for next year. Not expecting anything other than perhaps academy being discussed in detail

I considered going but it really is a complete waste of a night. From my experience these are are sadly a waste of time. McCabe will do his best politician act. They will be business/corporate bull crap and it will be all about the future and learning from mistakes.

Can hear McCabe now: 'Hey, we have not had much luck. Hey, there's no bigger blade than me. Hey, it's not my fault I keep making mistake after mistake.'

We have heard it all before. We need positive action and decisions that see this club moving forward not backwards and not more empty words. they should more time sorting out the mess of a board ensuring we have a proper football structure moving forward. McCabe has tried Robinson, Birch, Winter and many more. He cannot get a decent CEO in to run the football side, cannot get anyone in who can effecitvely deal with in's/out's on the playing and continaully picks duff managers who keep failing.

There is nothing he could say that would make me think 'This guy knows what he is doing at SUFC'. The last 10 years has proved he has not got a scooby doo. I don't need to attend a fans forum event to listen to him make more excuses for his and the boards total incompetency.

Sorry for apathy and I know some may say the club are damned if they do, damned if they don't but everything McCabe and the board has said and done in the last 10 years makes it hard to believe anything that comes out of his mouth thus rendering much of these pointless.

If someone say that they can finish 2 minutes after they started. Just shovel out the pies and beers. Kev will be on the last Eurostar back to Brussels by midnight.

Forget any transfer money. Will Adkins be allowed to use the wages of the players leaving this summer either at the end of their contracts or loans, to improve this squad. Estimated to be around 35-45k per week that will be available

So, basically we've been terribly unlucky, & we've got a season of home-grown u21s playing in the first team to look forward to...

And 'we're cursed'.

Really encouraging stuff.

Has someone connected to the Lane said this, Sheffielder ?

If we are as cursed as he says a lot lately then we may aswell pack up and go home.

Most of this fan forum is repeating what he has said before.

"We are cursed"

"if players want to leave you can't stop them"

"We have wasted money"

The closest he got to admitting he made a mistake was this:

That tweet of theirs, though understandable given the daftness of McCabe's statement, is not something you'd not expect from an official club feed. Bereft of any wit or class whatsoever. But then they have form for such things, as Charlton Athletic pointed out once....
It wasn't from the official club Twitter account was it?

He hasn't ruled out resigning Chedwyn either, which will delight/infuriate (delete as appropriate) the fan base.

He ain't ruled out that he is sacking Baxter either. Which should have already been done by now!

Honestly who runs this club? The players or him?!!
