Ah, now I get it. In the mid 70s when they started to build they dug up some hallowed ground and the the footballing Poltergeists have had it in for us ever since.
We really are knackered as well because there are so many non believers on here:eek:.

I'll sum up McCabes speach and answers for you beforehand

"Extra funds available when we reach the championship"

Thought I'd bring this thread back up. There are a lot of questions that need to be asked at these forums.

Your probably right zablade you've earned a brownie point.
 
Questions need to be asked about the apparent academy based approach we're going to try and take next season, and using the academy as an excuse for not signing players. McCabe seems to be totally deluded if his previous comments are anything to go by. He should be asked whether he is being realistic with his expectations for the academy.

Even the best academies only produce 1-2 first team players per season. I don't know why ours should be expected to automatically produce players who can get you up from League One just because we're Sheffield United. The last one we produced to have a real impact was Maguire who came through 5 years ago. Why anyone would expect us to suddenly produce a few now who'd have a remotely similar impact I have no idea. I just hope this isn't something the club are hanging their hat on.

I also think that it's quite telling that bar Jamie Murphy, every single one of Clough's signings we've got rid of have ended up at clubs even lower than us, even the division below.

And judging by the performances, I'm not sure many of them took to the old manager either.

I know this isn't a really deep and meaningful or even clever question, but way back in this thread you posed the question I want answering to resolve the mystery of the Sammon signing. To me it is important because if it was not Adkins or sanctioned/approved by Adkins, then the poor bloke has my sympathy for being lumbered with a dud all season. It also may give a clue as to either Clough's profligacy or the Boards naivety. On the other hand if it was a signing sanctioned by Adkins I have even less faith in him than ever. Please someone settle the debate once and for all and ah hopes youse all has a real good time boyz.

Not sure about transcript, as it takes an awful lot of work (KM doesn't usually speak in a way that lends itself to verbatim transcribing) and isn't great in terms of allowing us to actually concentrate on proceedings, only for people to rip off our hard work and pass it off as their own.

I'm sure we'll update and at least summarise though :)
 



Why anybody would turn up at these events I don't know.
I did it once and never again.
You sit there listening to embarrassing squirming bullshit, drivel and complete amateurism, all the time getting more and more pissed and then you go home.
You wake up next morning and United are still shit and remain shit for several months and then we have another fans forum to "sort things out".

It's pathetic
