Everyone knows the narrative around the subs argument is that the better teams have quality throughout the 25 so can always have top quality fresh players on the field but I'm starting to wonder whether in fact the advantage might not be the other way round.

Take Liverpool - Mane's "welfare" is clearly not being helped by being dragged off, it's just creating disharmony and, if I'm not mistaken, do the facts not bear out that Klopp rarely uses 3 subs (certainly early) that would back his argument anyway.

In our case we know we don't have quality throughout the 25 in fact the quality is pretty even across the squad (the only difference is the apparent fighting spirit across different players but that could be a fitness/stamina thing). I actually think we'd be better off having 5 offensive players run their arses off for 50 mins then put a 2nd shift on to do the same. If it was all pre-determined so each player knew they were coming off at a certain point they wouldn't need to hold off to save themselves for the full 90 and we get a higher energy (even if not "quality") performance for 90 mins. Maybe best make that 4 players to keep a sub spare for the unexpected (injury, sending off etc).

I vote for "vote for 5 subs".

I vote for the opposite of whatever Klopp wants. He's a cunt.
