Don’t think we have the money to spend so think we’re lookin for rough diamonds unfortunately

He possibly isn’t the answer to who we need right now but to claim he’s past it is a bit harsh.

Given that Hogan still isn't getting a look-in at Villa (only 3 mins from the bench yesterday), I suspect CW will have another go for him if he receives any sort of indication that he's available. IMHO the other names mentioned are miles away from him in terms of ability.

I wonder if he could become Utd's equivalent of what Mitrovic did for Fulham last season

Agree - I suspect that ship has probably sailed but he would be the best option I've heard should it still be possible. Assuming the money is not available to buy a top end Champ striker e.g. Maupay, McBurnie, Jutkiewicz (if any are indeed available, which I would have thought would be unlikely unless any clubs need to hold fire sales for financial reasons), it would have to be either a L1 punt (unlikely given last Jan's failures), a Prem youngster or, IMHO the most likely option, a Champ striker surplus to requirements and looking for more games e.g. Gestede, Nugent.

We'd more likely get Marquis from Donny for 300k and he's been with Wilder before at Northampton.

He had a bad injury and it robbed him of a lot of his pace - his outstanding asset.

Surely we will sign Cameron Jerome. That's such a United signing and will put out a statement that we don't mean business.

Its a really hard window. I'm not hopeful of getting anyone who will have us all buzzing but there has to be players out there that we can attract and who will improve us.

Dickho is not past it. He played great when he came on against us earlier in the season. Give us what we're lacking - pace, strength and a powerful shot.

Apparently Ameobi has been out injured for some time. I can’t remember where I heard it but I got the impression he’d been out for several months, which may be why we didn’t look at him in August.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we made an enquiry in January. If his attitude is alright, we could get the best out of him.

I'd like us to make a bid for Kieffer Moore at Barnsley. Was their only decent player when they were relegated from the Championship & has 8 for the season in League 1. Proper centre forward who has a goal or 2 in him.

Other than him, it'll probably have to be another premier league loan if we're not shopping abroad. Possibly Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea? Having Blackman on loan last season might put United in their good books & this kid looks the business in the (relatively) little game time he's had this season.

Rated him everytime we've played them. The one player they have than can run with the ball, is tricky, strong and also has a decent strike on him. Never seems to play as a striker though, seems to generally have a free role for them.
